Hello, If a job appears under Best Matches but the mandatory skills listed in the job post don’t exactly match the skills listed on my profile (even though I have relevant experience), can I still apply without this negatively affecting me? Does Upwork require an exact skill keyword match, or is overall relevance more important? Thanks for your help!

Hi everyone, Sometimes I see a job that is still listed as active and accepting proposals, but it shows something like “10 proposals” and “1 hire.” Does this usually mean the client has already filled the position, or is it still okay to submit a proposal? I’d appreciate any clarification. Thanks!
