Does “1 Hire” on an Active Job Mean the Position Is Already Filled?

Hi everyone,

Sometimes I see a job that is still listed as active and accepting proposals, but it shows something like “10 proposals” and “1 hire.”

Does this usually mean the client has already filled the position, or is it still okay to submit a proposal?

I’d appreciate any clarification. Thanks!
