I agree the words could be clearer for added impact. We're seeing it at larger scale so it's a bit easier to understand. But based on this, I'd buy it.

@Kayce Lassiter I think the first one would be stronger without the final sentence. Or maybe use that sentence on its own as option no. 3.

@B Turner There was always that theory that the only common denominator between all the murders Jessica Fletcher investigated … was Jessica Fletcher.

@Demy Watts The series sounds brilliant. But I think your hook might need to be snappier. Right now, it's reading more like a first paragraph. How about something like… One newbie keeper. One opinionated puffin. And a crumbling ancient pact. When Maris Thorne inherits her grandmother's seaside cottage, she finds herself with so much more than she'd ever anticipated. Her conservancy for magical sea creatures puts her at the heart of an impending battle between selkies and humans. And then the rest as you have it now?

@Brandon Chin Ooh, actually… I just went on a search for your books. Are you aware most of them aren't available to readers in the UK? Kobo has one. Apple has none. And even Amazon only has four.
