Why You Don’t Feel in Control of Your Time
Brothers, Most men think their problem is time management. It is not. The real problem is decision fatigue and lack of structure. Psychology teaches that when your day has no clear anchors, your brain defaults to comfort and avoidance. Islam teaches us something powerful here. Allah Subḥānahu wa Taʿālā structured our day around the five daily ṣalāh. Time in Islam was never meant to be random. The Prophet Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam lived with rhythm. He slept with intention. He woke with intention. He worked with intention. He rested with intention. This week is not about becoming busy. It is about becoming deliberate. Reflection question (optional to answer): Where do you feel your time disappears the most during the day?

As-salāmu ʿalaykum Where do I start and where do I end Those notifications and emails are my weakness. - Checking promotion on Amazon, Costco, Grocery etc - Those LinkedIn updates - Staring at wall and ceiling - Checking that funny video sent by a friend, now I'm on the hook to scroll through cat videos - New YouTube video of channels I subscribed to, Netflix - Sitting and doing absolutely nothing for an hour, useless thought "what if I had that superpower" - Oh when is the next phone being released and what are rumors, what are new rumors - I am hungry but too lazy to check inside the refrigerator. But I will sit here and just run through all my imaginations - Oh now lets check what new restaurants open recently, 1 hour there - No I dont like anybof these restaurants, actually what new recipe is out there (but I will never make the recipe, just satisfied watching someone making a meal) - Then telling myself "wouldn't be bad idea to watch food vloggers Mark Weins and Best Food Show Ever" ... continues - -
As-salāmu ʿalaykum brothers, and welcome to the Muslim Men’s Mind Mentorship.
You didn’t join a chat group. You stepped into a brotherhood. This space is built for the men who carry weight on their shoulders but still show up. For the sons, fathers, husbands, and brothers who want discipline, emotional control, stronger iman, and a place to grow without judgment. Here, you’ll get: • Weekly mentorship sessions • Monthly themes • Accountability challenges • Private 1-on-1 messaging • Q&A directly with me • A tight brotherhood of men walking the same path I’m here as your mentor with over 16 years of community work: Teaching, counselling youth, reverts, husbands, fathers, men battling addictions, suicidal ideation, marital issues, identity struggles, and more. You’re not alone anymore, my brother! Show up, participate, ask, share, support. This community works when you work. Bismillah — let’s build.

A Muslim. Born Muslim, raised Muslim, that Muslim who lost his way, ran after duniya. Then Allah SWT showed mercy and here I am!
