10 contributions to Muslim Men's Mind Mentorship
Carrying Pain in Silence
Many Muslim men were taught to be strong by staying silent. But silence is not strength when it becomes isolation. Mental health struggles do not mean weak īmān. They often mean unresolved pain unprocessed stress and loneliness. The Prophet Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam spoke. He sought counsel. He made duʿā. He expressed sadness. That is prophetic masculinity. Strength is not pretending you are fine. Strength is facing what is inside you with honesty and tawakkul. If you feel comfortable share: What is something you have been carrying quietly for a long time? If not ready to post publicly you can message me privately.

Why You Don’t Feel in Control of Your Time
Brothers, Most men think their problem is time management. It is not. The real problem is decision fatigue and lack of structure. Psychology teaches that when your day has no clear anchors, your brain defaults to comfort and avoidance. Islam teaches us something powerful here. Allah Subḥānahu wa Taʿālā structured our day around the five daily ṣalāh. Time in Islam was never meant to be random. The Prophet Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam lived with rhythm. He slept with intention. He woke with intention. He worked with intention. He rested with intention. This week is not about becoming busy. It is about becoming deliberate. Reflection question (optional to answer): Where do you feel your time disappears the most during the day?

@Shom Taufik that's a long list ma Sha Allah. But I applaud your courage to share that with our brothers. I'm sure many of us have similar struggles. Believe it or not some of the things that you've mentioned are actually considered good or better than many of our struggles alhamdulillah. So that's a positive. Now off the bat I think you yourself can easily eliminate a few of them if you really decided to as they may be merely out of boredom. Once you've done that let me know the remaining ones and we will build a plan to overcome that in Sha Allah

@Adam E So one good thing is that you've already identified the issues now the next step would be to take necessary action to fix them. Starting with Fajr. Fajr preparation starts the night before, going to bed early, to make firm intention to wake up by setting alarms (multiple) and also ask someone that wakes up regularly, to call us to wake us up. This will take care of the first issue. Secondly, for the YouTube and games, I'd suggest try and make it as difficult as possible. So in my case I've made it such that if I open YouTube, there's no suggested videos as I disabled that from the settings. Another way would be to hide the apps themselves from the main screen. Making it difficult to find it each time. It's all about taking steps to avoid these things. Ultimately it all comes down to discipline. We need to master it and if that can be achieved, it'll shine brightly in all our endeavors in life.
The Illusion of “I’ll Do It Later”
Brothers, Modern psychology calls this temporal discounting. We value comfort now more than benefit later. Islam addressed this long ago. Allah Subḥānahu wa Taʿālā says in meaning that man is in loss except those who believe and act. Loss here includes wasted time. Procrastination is rarely laziness. It is emotional avoidance. You delay not because you cannot do the task, but because of how the task makes you feel. Discipline begins when you act despite emotion, not after emotion disappears. Mentorship exercise for today: Pick one task you keep delaying and do just 10 minutes of it today. Stop after 10. Momentum is not required. Consistency is.
