THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD IS HEAVY — BUT YOU DON’T HAVE TO CARRY IT
I’ve got to be honest, guys — the pressure is insane. I don’t know if you’ve heard of RJ Spina, but he’s like a modern-day mystic. He healed himself from paralysis and is doing incredible work. I once heard him say that the amount of attachment we carry is limitless… and it’s so true. The weight of the world can feel crushing. It can press on your nervous system. It can exhaust your soul. Ever feel that way? Frankly, much of that weight is the weight we place on ourselves. There has to be acceptance. There has to be non-attachment. There has to be a willingness to accept the role we play, the limitations we have, and the ephemeral nature of life — and to approach life with a mentality of awakening. ———————————— THE REALIZATION THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING ———————————— In many ways, awakening is the realization that we’ve been playing a game without knowing the rules. Think about it. Wrong decisions. Wrong pursuits. Disconnection from the inner world. Suppressed emotion… until the pressure builds and something breaks. How many of you know that feeling? How many of you are tired of suffering? Here’s the truth: You don’t have to carry that weight. ———————————— SURRENDER IS NOT WEAKNESS ———————————— Coming from a Christian tradition, there’s a verse that captures this beautifully. When Jesus said: “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am humble and lowly of heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” This wasn’t passivity. This was surrender. Surrender of provision. Surrender of the future. Surrender of sickness. Surrender of control over every outcome, every word, every action. Live one moment at a time. Simply be. But when people approach this, anxiety often rises. Because surrender requires understanding, practice — and most importantly, a place for the mind to rest. If you’re not focusing on the weight… what do you focus on? ———————————— WHAT THE MIND SHOULD REST IN ———————————— This is why contemplation and meditation matter. The mind needs an anchor.
