The 3 Conversations Every Leader Should Have Every Week
If you want to grow as a leader, it starts with the conversations you’re having — not the meetings you’re running. This week on The Empowered Educator Podcast, I’m breaking down the 3 conversations every leader should have every week — one with your teachers, one with your leadership team, and one with yourself. ✅ What to ask ✅ How to keep them intentional (not just another meeting) ✅ And how these three touchpoints build connection, alignment, and reflection Because leadership isn’t built in big moments — it’s built in consistent, meaningful conversations that shape culture. 🎧 Tune in to the full episode: https://lnkd.in/duEEKTsu

Love this. here’s how I’m putting it into practice this week with my Science Team: 1. What’s one win from this week and one barrier I can remove? 2. Which student/group needs a fast lift—and what’s our next micro-move?
Welcome! Introduce yourself + share a pic of yourself 🎉
Let's get to know each other! Comment below sharing: 1. Where you are in the world (you may find some friends close to you) 2. Your educational background 3. Something you like to do for fun 😊 4. A photo of yourself (we like to know who we are communicating with)

I’m Sheresa Y. Rice, a middle-school Science Lead Teacher, a coordinator of the 21st CCLC after-school program, and a single parent. I’m a teacher-builder who creates plug-and-play systems—Do Nows, CER routines, exit-ticket trackers—that make growth doable for students and teachers. My goals are to accelerate Level 1–2 learners toward proficiency through clear scaffolds and data routines, raise instructional quality across my department, and expand whole-child programs. From this learning community, I hope to gain high-leverage strategies (especially for Tier 2/3), ready-to-use leader toolkits (PLC protocols, data meetings, walkthrough moves), a network of thought partners, and feedback on my intervention playbooks. My path: B.S. in Ag Economics (UAPB); grad study at Alcorn State; M.A.T. (University of Central Missouri); 27 hrs in Gifted & Talented (Arkansas State); now in Educational Leadership at UAPB. I’ve taught science for 23 years, serving as team/grade-level lead and now Science Lead—always turning big goals into simple, repeatable systems.
