When your metabolism is sluggish, you feel tired, crave sugar, and store fat more easily. But when you support it the right way, your energy is steady, and your body shifts into fat-burning mode. That’s why today’s focus is on keeping your carbs low and your protein steady. If you’re practicing intermittent fasting, the goal is to hold off and break your fast at lunchtime. Unimate in the morning and again in the afternoon will help quiet cravings and keep you focused so it becomes easier to wait until lunch for your first meal. Now, a quick note for anyone who enjoys a protein shake during the day: Do not add fruit to your shake unless your goal is to gain weight. If your goal is to lose weight, cut sugar cravings, or lower inflammation, you’ve got to keep your carbs under control. Adding a banana, for example, means adding 27 carbs. That will spike your glucose and insulin and push your body into storing fat instead of burning it. After week one, you can add a very small amount (about ¼ cup) of low-sugar fruit like berries to your shake if you want. Until then, stick with the 16 recipes in the Protein Shake Recipe Guide (pages 1–16). Every one of those recipes is fruit-free and gives you plenty of options for taste and variety.
Transparency
I want to share something openly with you all: I am a coach, and I’m also on my own weight-loss journey. I’m working through the same mindset shifts, habits, and challenges many of you face. And instead of hiding that, I’ve decided to be fully transparent. I’m building my Skool community not from a place of perfection, but from a place of realness, accountability, and growth. I believe that being a great coach doesn’t mean having it all figured out it means walking the journey with you, learning, growing, and showing up consistently. As I lose weight, rebuild my habits, and strengthen my mindset, I’m inviting you to do it with me. My goal is to create a space on Skool where we can support each other, stay accountable, and celebrate progress no matter how big or small. I’m not teaching from the mountaintop; I’m coaching from the journey and together, we’re going to reach our goals. I still have 50 plus pounds to lose.
