Cyber Safety Contract
A contract is the foundation of a strong Family Cyber Safety Plan. It sets the rules, establishes boundaries and clarifies expectations of them and you. The contract has stopped and avoided fights over technology with my children and many parents ahve told me the same thing. If you want a tech peaceful home: 1. download the contract 2. Read the PDF and watch the short explainer videos 3. Go over the contract with your children 4. Agree on the punishments and rewards 5. Complete the contracxt just like they were buying a car (make it a real contract) Pro tip: if you have different ideas on the punishment (say they want 2 days and you want 7 days without of a phone) go with their punishment. This way if they break the rule it was their idea for the punishment. Super Charge the Contract: In order to have their buy-in for the contract, they have to know why it is so important to you and their future. to open their eyes to the dangers they face onine and how to enjoy social media and gaming safely, just watch the student videos available here: https://www.skool.com/csf/classroom/1d2cddc0?md=c6be7b8e33f34b1d8d7da74605bf7e75 ALL of my children these exact videos and used the same contract you can download below to ensure my kids were safe. Let me know if you have any questions. Here to help, Det. Mike

Looking forward to setting up some boundaries but honestly also dreading the kickback. Hoping to find and give support here. Thanks, Mike.

@Michael Lemon is it too late for my son who is nearly 17 to impose restrictions on him? There will be some major pushback. Heโ€™s already lost a bunch of privileges lately. This would be another blow even though itโ€™s meant to Keep him safe. I have no problem doing this with my 13-year-old daughter. I just wish I wouldโ€™ve started teaching my son sooner about all of this. I will at least try to get him to watch the video with me first.
