Morning everyone 👋
I’ve been thinking a lot about what actually helps memberships work long term — and it’s rarely more content. Most of the time, it’s clarity. Knowing what to focus on. Knowing what matters right now. And not feeling like you’re constantly behind. So I’m curious… What’s the one thing you’re finding hardest about running your membership at the moment? No pressure to have it all figured out. Just share whatever comes to mind.

1. Not creating a monster in terms of content and making it the best I can for the members. 2. I have a constant monthly churn of about 10%. I believe that is usual for me because I am working with students who have school pressures and my club becomes the one easy to drop. However that does mean I have to attract the same amount in to not take a drop in numbers and thats without thinking I need more people in it to grow.

@Sam Hill Thanks for the reply. I asked them in Nov which is why I’m making what seems like loads of changes but I’m trying to keep it simple. As you say it’s easy to add add add. I’d love 5%. No they never come back. Often it’s because school work gets in the way. Or that’s what they tell me but it seems true.

Hey all, I have just added a membership creation planner and a why members leave e book to your library. p.s if you want to get your hands on these but can't see them you need upgrade to the paid level x

@Sam Hill Just checked and I am being told I do not have access to this. am being asked to pay $10 a month for a sub which I am doing. Any ideas?

Continuing transferring my membership onto a new platform (XP) and liaising with someone about creating escape room style puzzles to go with my handwriting workbooks.

@Sam Hill I don’t have any of my club content on a platform but I do use Xperiencify (XP) for other things. It’ll be good when it’s done but it’ll probably take longer than I hope 🤣

Been a quite one as have a cold with an unsexy croaky voice. A lot of time spent looking at a computer screen but not sure what I've achieved. 😆 How's yours been?

Abandon cart emails
Hi, Any advice on abandon cart emails? I have 3 abandon cart emails that feel a bit robotic in their tone and I'd like to make them more friendly. They don't convert. I find in my weekly newsletter emails I can get a high open rate (45% 'ish) but I never get sales from them. I'm just quite British and don't ask. (I know! don't ask don't get) I'd like to crack this issue. I thought I'd start with these 3 automated emails. Not sure where to start. I like how your templates all read as if there is a person that has written them. Any tips?

@Sam Hill Hi, I've decided to turn off the automated abandon cart emails and ask people individually if I can help them in anyway to find out what made them stop and not go through with the order.

I own Help with Handwriting. I've a sub box for 11-14 years, it's also an online club called Get Set Write. It's Duke of Edinburgh Bronze approved.
