Niche Specific Training Videos
I’ve been thinking that I’d love to see some training videos made that are niche specific. For example, discussing things that are important to know about construction clients, real estate clients, cafes/restaurants, etc. and how to manage them effectively. This would be really helpful for me at least. Just wanted to throw the idea out there 😊

The phone rang & she froze
Jan* (not her real name) has definitely been a star student. With one HUGE exception she never properly laid her foundation for her business. Jan was so excited to jump in and get started (she wanted results fast after all) that she froze when her first prospect called. Could she really do this? In short the answer is YES! Luckily she was able to jump into Office Hours and get pulled away for the ledge. And yes she called the prospect back, knew what to say and got the client! YAY! I would love to do this. Definitely not in my current income range though. I love bookkeeping. I even went to college for it when I was younger. Went in another direction for awhile and now I am finally ready to create my business. I am working on getting my QBO Certifications again and my profile re-listed. I will be signing up for your Bookkeeper Wanted website. (such a great concept.) Hopefully I can get a few clients and really get going now. I am ready to so this!!
Using AI to help you define your Niche
At this point most of you probably understand the theory behind selecting a niche. Simply stated it helps you to be clear on who you are serving. As you begin to work with your niche you’ll inevitably begin to see patterns or repeated challenges that they face. If you were looking at Contractor’s (the construction type) you may find that because they work from their vehicle or on job sites that their pain point is having to spend their FREE TIME (weekends, holidays and family time) catching up on their books. A common issue you may find to be true for them is that they simply want to buy back their time. For Real Estate professionals you may find that cash flow is the issue. Initially use your intuition (picture yourself in their shoes) and ask yourself what are their 3 biggest bookkeeping challenges and what solution can you offer. We ran one of our most successful marketing campaigns at the beginning of this summer specifically targeting HVAC companies. We did it over the summer because that is when they are their BUSIEST. What could we offer? The ability to buy back their time!!!! Total Win! By having our firm (or yours) take care of reconciliations and monthly reports it free’d up their internal team to focus on billing. Since we were doing the reconciliations this saved them on payroll and gave them financials in a timely manner so they could make quick decisions about their business. Let AI help you by asking “What are 3 things I can do as a bookkeeper to help [niche].?” If nothing else the response will expand your thinking.
