AC leak detector.
Recommendations on a AC leak detector. I know Ben loves his infinicon but need something maybe half the cost or less for this year.

@Joel Adams I also have the Icon one, it’s awesome so far
Trailer setup
Any suggestions or recommendations of tools or anything that helps to get most of the job faster. I have mostly everything that I need but doesn’t hurt to get some new tool. Post a picture of your trailer setup, to give me ideas.

I’m currently in the process of outfitting a trailer myself. What are those hooks/jack stand hangers you have there? I’m FRESH into setting mine up, just did my floor with some epoxy yesterday while the wood was still all clean and new

@Ryan Shorey yea that’s how I’ve been approaching it these first couple of months ive been getting going. Seems to be working out without question so far
Predator power station
is anyone here use predator power station 1200 watt from harbor freight to power a computer and compressor or fridge if needed. Is for my trailer. If no then I might try to replicate @Ben Dellaria setup.

I went and got one through Home Depot that was very similar in specs/output but wasn’t quite as expensive. Mostly using it for keeping the tool batteries and scan tools charged up since I don’t have an inverter or anything for the trailer but when I take the business full time then I’ll likely have it powering a small fridge type cooler set up or something and use the generator to run an AC unit in the meantime. I like the bigger power bank set ups that essentially eliminate the need to run a gas generator, it’s just pricey to initially set up.
Ford 3 valve spark plugs
Are any of you guys scared to do these spark plugs? Had a customer a while back that needed timing chains, I declined due to the mileage and a lot of times they are neglected and need an engine anyway. He had a local shop do it, but they wouldn't put spark plugs in it. He called me because he had a misfire a month or so after the timing chain job, had a bad coil so I put plugs and coils in it.

I know it sounds like a crazy concept but taking them out with an impact I’ve seen more times than not be more successful (less breaking plugs off in the head) than trying to pry them out by hand. A super experienced tech I worked with and trust anything he suggested now taught me that

@Bruce Oliver yea I think the horror stories of old have kind of gone away. Most people that know what they’re doing aren’t afraid of them anymore lol
