I kept testing ads but nothing was clicking… until I fixed this
I’ll be real… I was stuck for a while with paid ads. Testing campaigns, switching audiences, even increasing budget… but results were just inconsistent. At some point I started thinking maybe it was the product or the market. But it wasn’t. What I realized was I was focusing too much on the backend (targeting, settings, etc)… and not enough on what people actually see first the creative. Once I started simplifying my ads, better hooks, clearer message, less “trying to be perfect”… things actually started improving. Not overnight, but way more stable than before. Still learning and testing, but that shift made a big difference for me. Curious What’s been the most frustrating part for you when running ads right now?

@Genevive Amoncio, Hey, that’s exciting, ads can be a big turning point if dialed in right. For me, the first improvements showed up in more consistent lead flow and clearer data on what messaging was actually resonating. I also started noticing better audience targeting over time as the platforms optimized. Just wondering, what have been your biggest challenges so far with getting things off the ground?
New to ads
What up guys. I specialize in equipment financing and working capital for middle market companies. I'm considering running ads with an agency I know but thought it would be good to try to learn this game myself. Anyways, looking forward to learning, and getting to know everyone

Hey, welcome! Sounds like you’ve got a strong niche; equipment financing and working capital are great spaces right now. Wondering what your biggest challenges have been so far when it comes to getting clients or scaling your outreach? @Brandon Keeling
Most ads fail for the same reason.
When I first started, I thought better creatives and higher budgets would fix everything. In reality, I was skipping the basics, testing properly, tracking the right metrics, and understanding what was actually driving conversions. Once I focused on process over guesswork, things shifted. One small adjustment in targeting and messaging dropped my CPA significantly without increasing spend. What I’ve learned is that results improve faster when people share what’s actually working, not just highlight wins. The small details are usually where the real breakthroughs happen. Let’s make this practical for everyone here. If you’re new, what’s the biggest challenge you’re facing with your ads right now? If you’ve been running ads for a while, what’s one change that improved your results recently? And for everyone here, how has your job search or client acquisition been going lately? The more open we are, the easier it is to identify what’s working and scale it together.

@Yvette Batoula, That’s a great mindset, I completely agree. I’m definitely interested in sharing what’s working and learning from each other, too. Just wondering, what’s generating income for you at the moment?
Stop scrolling for a second, are you actually progressing, or just staying busy?
When I first got into high-ticket closing, I was putting in the hours but not seeing the results I expected. I was learning, practicing, and showing up, but something was missing. The turning point came when I connected with someone more experienced who showed me where I was going wrong and how to tighten my approach. That shift alone made everything more consistent and predictable. What I’ve learned since is that growth speeds up when we stop trying to figure everything out alone and start sharing what’s actually working. The smallest adjustment from the right person can change your results fast. Let’s make this valuable for everyone here. If you’re new, what’s been the hardest part about getting started or landing your first role? If you’ve been in the game a while, what’s one change that improved your close rate or consistency? And for everyone here, how has your job search been going lately? Open conversations like this are what separate those who stay stuck from those who move forward.

@Carter Dalton, That’s a powerful reflection. Being busy doesn’t always mean you’re actually moving forward, and that’s something a lot of people overlook. Real progress usually comes from focusing on the right things, not just doing more. Wondering what kind of business you are currently in? And what’s the main thing you’re looking for help or guidance with at the moment? I’d genuinely love to share what’s been working for me, too; it might give you a few ideas you can apply right away.

@Riley Hammond, That’s a really strong point. A lot of people stay “busy” but don’t actually move forward in a meaningful way; there’s a big difference between activity and real progress. Without clear direction, it’s easy to spend time on things that feel productive but don’t actually get you closer to your goals. Having the right guidance or mentorship can make a huge difference because it helps you focus on what truly matters, avoid unnecessary trial and error, and accelerate your growth more intentionally. What are you mainly focusing on at the moment?
Most people are running ads right now but still not seeing consistent results.
I’ve been there. Testing creatives, switching audiences, increasing budgets, yet nothing felt stable. What changed for me wasn’t a new tactic; it was learning from people who had already figured out what works and applying a clear process instead of guessing. Once I focused on data that actually mattered and got guidance on what to fix, performance became predictable instead of random. What I’ve realized is that progress in paid ads speeds up when people openly share what’s working and where they’re stuck. That’s how you avoid wasting time and budget. Let’s make this useful for everyone here. If you’re just starting, what’s the biggest challenge you’re facing with your ads right now? If you’ve been running ads for a while, what’s one adjustment that improved your results? And for everyone here, how has your job search or client acquisition been going lately? The more we share real experiences, the faster we all improve.

@Aubrey Randall, That really hits. It’s so easy to get caught up in constant activity and mistake it for real progress. What you’re saying forces people to pause and actually question whether what they’re doing is moving the needle or just filling time. Just wondering, though, what’s actually generating income for you right now? And what are you ultimately hoping to achieve with your business? Also, what’s been the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

@Keira Glass, Love that shift, moving from random testing to a structured, data-driven approach is where things really start to scale and become predictable. what are you most into working on right now? And is there anything specific you’re looking for help with at the moment?
