Creating Confident Coaches
One of the biggest struggles new and seasoned coaches face isn’t their ability to coach, (although we never stop improving our coaching), it’s how to connect with potential clients, create meaningful conversations, and confidently guide those conversations into coaching relationships. I've been asked many times, how do I create conversations, or ok I've a conversation booked, now what? And how do I turn the conversation into a proposal if it's the right time, and how do I know when it's the right time? Over the past 3 years while working with Coaches and in various programmes I've been in during the many years before that, the above questions never stopped being asked. So myself and the wonderful Rose Latham have decided to combine our experience and create something powerful and practical to take you deep into the mechanics of building confidently and clarity in the entire client creation process and help coaches move past the holding yourself back stage skillfully. Introducing Creating Clients Confidently - the 6 week deep dive, starting in January. Over 6 weeks, you’ll learn how to: Connect with potential clients naturally, and open conversations without feeling awkward or “salesy.” Go deep in discovery, finding what truly matters to your potential clients and giving them a powerful coaching experience right from the start. Understand enrollment, so that it feels authentic, relational, and service-led rather than pushy or pressured. Clear money mindset blocks, so you no longer second-guess your value or stumble when talking about fees. Confidently take a client from first conversation to a paid coaching relationship with clarity and ease. By the end of these 6 weeks, you’ll not only have a practical understanding of the steps, but also the confidence to implement them immediately. This program is about giving you the tools, the practice, and the mindset to create clients without performance, pressure, and doubt. We are opening the doors to the beta program on January 7th at a very special no brainer price of £250 for the full 6 weeks (the only time it will be this price).

Free training
Hello everyone, I've just received an email from the John Hornick school of coaching, it was recommended to me by Steve Chandler a few years ago. Well they are running the 6 session course starting in January and are offering Alumni free enrolment and free access for anyone we want to share it with. So here it is, if it's something that looks good to you simply add ALUMFRIEND at checkout to make it free. As always check your capacity, you don't have to sign up for everything on offer. Much love to you all xx https://hornickschoolofcoaching.com/fundamentals-of-coaching

I did the course last year with John and loved it, although the time zone wasn’t so great. 😊
When to press mute?????
I would like some ideas about how to work with a very talkative person in a group zoom call. ! I’m smiling as I write this, as I’m still thinking about the wonderful conversation we had the other day in Jule’s zoom call around listening.. . That was still foremost in my mind and It was the first call in my new free weekly meeting that I talked about in the zoom. I really want people to feel heard, but it did feel a bit like a take over bid.. I did have to step a few times to let others get a word in, and gently but firmly ask her to let people finish. There was lots of , “Oh yes it’s like… “ and at the end we got a list of her qualifications in psychology.. I’m going to admit that I really had moments of wanting to simply mute her 😱. She said several times that knew she talked too much and people found her frustrating., but that was how she was. I haven’t led many group calls, although I’ve done a lot in person. and I’d love some feed back from you lovely people.. . 🤔 I had a couple of messages afterwards from other participants , just nice thank yous and one said well done for maintaining my smile not losing patience! Hope is ok to ask this here. 🙂

Converting Conversations Into Clients Without Pressure
Hi all, here is the video I promised to make about converting clients from conversations. I would love to hear your takeaways as always. Overview In this masterclass, Julie Brown walks through one of the biggest struggles coaches face: how to turn conversations into paying clients without pressure, pitching, or manipulation. She strips away the myths around “sales tactics” and shows that the most powerful client creation tool is connection through service. Key Themes 1. Connection Over Pitching 2. Service Creates Safety 3. Invitations, Not Persuasion 4. Authenticity Wins 5. Redefining Enrollment Takeaways - You don’t need to pressure anyone to become a client. - Listening deeply and serving fully creates more trust than any sales script. - Invitations feel natural when they come from genuine curiosity and belief in the other person. - Client creation is about who you’re being in the conversation, not just what you’re saying. Action Steps 1. Practice Service-Based Conversations: three conversations this week where your only intention is to serve, not to sell. 2. Reframe EnrollmentInstead of thinking “How do I get a client?” — ask, “How can I make this conversation valuable?” 3. Create Invitations at the end of a meaningful conversation, extend a simple invitation:“Would you like to explore this more deeply in a coaching session?” 4. Reflect after each conversation, note what felt authentic, where pressure crept in, and how you showed up in service. Quotes From Julie - “Converting conversations into clients isn’t about pressure. It’s about presence.” - “You don’t need to pitch. You need to connect.” - “Every enrollment is an act of service and leadership, not persuasion.” - “When you take the pressure off yourself, you take the pressure off them too.”
