Has anyone started planning your spring garden yet? More specifically, did you harvest enough seed last year, will you order seed soon, or a combination of both? I'm definitely the latter.
i have plans to register my small property (just under an acre) as a NM wildlife refuge this Spring after tilling around all the native trees and bushes planted last Fall to just absolutely coat my yard in NM wildflower seeds. I need a bird bath as the final qualification! I gathered a bunch of seeds from a small garden I planted last year and plan to get many more to lay down after the till. It was the first time Iβd ever seen or been part of the monarch migration and it was spectacular. I would love to learn more about bulb planting and winter prep for Spring as Iβm relatively new to outdoor gardening (a bit of a chaos gardener so far). looking forward to learning from the replies to your post!
@Paula Boggan Thank you! 1. Sphagnum moss never dirt (even if they come planted in it remove and replace) 2. Soak moss fully and let dry completely (crunchy) before soaking fully again 3. Place in the brightest windows 4. They arenβt delicate, so no ice cube method etc but they dislike chilly drafty spaces. 5. Prune dying leaves between flowering, if it looks like it is dying it probably isnβt! I hope you have great success on your next ones!!
I wanted to encourage everyone to either share your Skool community today with the group, if you have one, or introduce yourself and tell us a little about you. Share a picture as well of whatever you're thankful for! I'll start...my family!
It was a lovely Thanksgiving. Grateful as well for niche places to connect to likeminded people. In 7b have some Red Velvet late bloomers outlasting freezing nights π»
