Congrats mate, exciting news. You're following your heart, you know your worth more than what you are doing. Businesses pivot, change, scale up to survive and grow all the time. You cant move forward if your afraid to take the next step. With the passion you show for your next move you are already on a winner. I wish you all the best mate.
Wet weather drills
Hi Everyone Can anyone give me any examples of what you do for wet weather drills. Its wet here in Qld right now, but the girls team obviously need to know how to play a different game in the wet weather as its not gong to be dry all the time. Any hints or tips on what some of you experienced coaches do would be great.

@Allan Stephens Hi Allan Thanks mate, I appreciate it, its nice to hear you mentioned quick hand passing and chest marking as that's exactly all I could think of, but your ball to ground drills makes sense as the ball will mostly be on the ground. Low direct chest kicks might be a hair puller as Im still actually trying to get the fundamentals of them kicking properly without throwing the ball etc, BUT like i say to the girls if you dont try it you will never get better. After what you had mentioned I was thinking of running a ground drill where we roll the ball on the ground, one person to get it with someone chasing them. When they get the ball they have a team mate running on to the ball in close range so the ball can be quickly picked up with a short handball to someone on the run. Obviously running close due to wet weather conditions??? Your Thoughts???

Testing
How many coaches and players are running beep tests? I have the beep test app and usually get my players to complete it 2-3 times a season.

Going From a 2-Hand Ball Drop to 1
For many beginner footballers, grasping the 1-hand drop can be very difficult. This video has concepts and drills that will help you coach others to improve theirs. If you have any questions ask them below. Cheers, Josh

@Josh Growden Thanks mate, would you have anything to show the proper technique on how to hold and drop the ball for eg a set shot for goal.

@Josh Growden I honestly don't know mate. I thought it wouldn't be that different, in all honesty I'm only asking as I was talking to someone about the ball drop after watching your video and practicing it myself and someone else said to me its different for a set shot. I got a bit confused, that's honestly the only reason im asking mate.
Commitment to training?
I've been helping /coaching the same group of girls over 5 years and we've had the same lack of commitment to training from year 1. They're now the senior women's team & with a list of around 23, our average numbers at training are about 10...any ideas much appreciated?

@Allan Stephens I like your idea of keeping the 10 players that regularly turn up to training on the field as a reward for there commitment. The other 13 who don’t turn up can fight it out over being interchanged. If they complain about it, we’ll it’s there fault as they don’t turn up to training and there fitness is not there. In all honestly I would probably do the same.
