I Did a Thing… and I’m Finally Sharing It 💛
Hey everyone! I wanted to share something exciting — I’m officially launching the Kickstarter for The Mom Brain Journal™. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mombrainjournal/rewiring-motherhood-one-page-at-a-time If you’ve seen my little breadcrumbs in here about what I’ve been writing or why this project matters… this is what it’s all been leading to. It’s a neuroscience-meets-soul-care journal for moms who are carrying a lot and deserve tools that actually support their minds, not drain them. I also want to give a huge thank you to @Sierra Melcher . Your webinars, honesty in editing, suggestions, and outline of the 4 phases of creativity (in the classroom) helped me move through doubt and finally trust my voice. Even when I’m quiet in the group, I feel the support — and it’s genuinely helped my writing blossom. And a massive gratitude to my beta readers from the group: @Brandee Melcher @Dee Mehta @Leslie Barber (Thank you for being open minded to listen to me and then for trying out this tool and giving honest, heartfelt and very intuitive feedback.) Finding this group was such a Godsend. If this project resonates with you or someone you know, I’d love for you to check out the Kickstarter. Thank you all for being part of the creative energy that got me here. 💛✨ https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mombrainjournal/rewiring-motherhood-one-page-at-a-time

Yes -literally written on my bathroom mirror: Why does God give me exactly what I need at the exact time and place?... And to LaNicia's point: what G'd's love smells like to me? ... that's different based on what is happening in the moment. That energy and presence is ever-flowing, ever evolving and one minute could be coconuts the next garlic.... or even tangerines.

My book matters because there are generations of Moms, of caregivers that are carrying the baggage of disappointment, of regret, of guilt, of rejection of lost dreams and basically pain. Pain that we try to push through and stay positive, but things creep up when we least expect it. As a mom I realized that I had to take care of my sh*t before I passed it on to my son. Being an only child and not knowing if I was going to have another child I needed to make sure the Mom Brain (mine) that was raising this kid was the best it could be. Every day I worked on it. Not everyday was the best, but I tried my best. I created the Mom Brain Journal to make sure what I personally went through was not just for me. It was for my sister MOMs, my grand MOMs, my Aunt MOMs, my Uncle MOMs. Getting this project out there has been one of the most transformational things I have ever done. It's changed my relationship with me, my husband, my own mother, my child, my family & friends. And all I can say is that its ALL GOOD. And for the better. The people that I have met have brought so much joy and insight it's ridiculous. Doubt creeps in and now I'm so grateful for my own tool because I have to lean into it to continue going. So even if it goes no further than this it helping me become better and right now that's enough. Sometimes that has to be enough for me to keep going. And with that The MOM BRAIN JOURNAL … follow link for a sample : https://linktr.ee/mombrainjournal
