This week, the Co-Founder of HelloAlice, which has a database of over 1.5 million business owners, sponsored a private event in Dallas for 100 business owners. While I was writing my name on my name tag, a woman approached my toddler and started playing with her on the floor. I introduced myself and asked for her name, and it turned out to be Elizabeth Gore, the Co-Founder of HelloAlice. In my head, I was thinking that my daughter had no idea who this woman was, lol! Anyway, Elizabeth pulled out her phone and took a selfie with me. Afterward, I apologized for bringing my daughter, the only child at the event, and Elizabeth reassured me that it was perfectly fine. She shared her story about building her company while having her daughter attend all of her events as well. I know this might sound strange, but our conversation felt more like a mom-to-mom chat than a business discussion. At the end of the event, I asked Elizabeth if she could send me the picture we took together, and she kindly provided me with her personal email. She encouraged me to send her information about my business because she's always looking to feature entrepreneurs on her podcast with Yahoo Finance. I’m still processing everything, but I feel incredibly grateful for how friendly she was. I’m hopeful that my business will one day be as impactful as HelloAlice has been, just as I hope for each of yours, while I continue to build mine alongside my toddler. Have a great weekend! P.S.
