Any filmmakers here? 🎬
I’m looking to create a network of fellow filmmakers to create scenes together from a distance. For example, at the moment, I’m looking for some people to recreate the same idea as some reaction from the public in Truman Show. https://youtu.be/f_UmiKHl1rM Photo by @Alex Botton

Oh, that would be cool! If we want to be a part of this network, what do we do?

@Alex Boke Very cool! I live in Atlanta, GA, so I have access to a lot. This was filmed, edited, and performed mainly by myself: https://youtu.be/Tb49wLAOxlg?si=TfhT_qewu9f-VG3u I have access to the city, waterfalls, mountains, old cemeteries, churches all over the state (old and new), the Golden Isles (once a year when I go there for a retreat), the oldest/largest car junkyard in the nation, historic downtown areas, and upscale uptown areas. I also live next to a building and massive fountain that were designed by the guy that designed the Louvre in France.
How’s everyone doing? 🪨
I’ve been truly living under a rock for a while now. Time for a mini update. Snowboarding has been distracting me BUT! ☝🏼 Video 02 is on its way. It’s been more ambitious than anticipated but it’ll be a fun one. (If you’re interested in being a morning person ☕️) What’s everyone working on these days? (Share pics of your life in the comments if you can.) I was thinking of doing chill work sessions together soon if anyone is interested. 🪨 👨‍💻👩‍💻🧑‍💻👨‍💻👩‍💻🧑‍💻👩‍💻👨‍💻👩‍💻🪨 Let me know and we’ll setup a date 📆 Talk soon, Alex

Oh, very cool, nice typewriter! Right now I'm setting up a podcast for my church, which has been the majority of my time these past two weeks. Really looking forward to seeing how far I can take it, and will be tapping into some new skills along the way.

@Alex Boke Thanks! We'll start with audio and then work towards video. A large part of the unfamiliarity is coming down to taking a corner of the pastor's office and turning it into a set. 😅 Going to have to figure out how to pad acoustics in a pleasing visual way, and how to light it.
Day one of 2026
One thing i learned from 2025 is that accountability is everything. This is the space for that. Any writers in this group? That’s what I need most help with.

Yep, writer here! Scripts, poems, music, just about anything really. 😅 I even have several of those things in that GIF there. 😁 2025 was a bit of a stinker for me, but I know this year is my year to really get down to some things and get things done. Looking to start supporting myself and my parents, find a lifestyle pattern, and grow spiritually, all while completing mission: 'Detroy My ADD". 😁

@Alex Boke Yes. 😆 I've ended up writing everything at one point or another. Right now I'm working on a webseries for YouTube, so that has both short and long form content. I've made several short films and I'm currently writing scripts for feature films. I'm also writing music. 😊

What are some ideas you no longer think to be true?
I no longer think that being ignorant is a bad thing. I don’t need to know everything that’s happening in the world at all times. What are some of your ideas you no longer believe to be true, as you get older and wiser everyday?

I completely agree with you. I'm to the point where I'm completely tuned out of the news. If it's important, I'll usually get told about it by someone else anyways. 🤷‍♂️ I always thought that people were supposed to stick around in your life, and that if they fell off, that it was a personal problem. But then a year ago, I came across a decent realization and came up with a personal theory for it... The People Persistence Theory: There are points in everyone's lives where they come into contact with other people that they will share a special moment with at a single point in time, only to continuously trade out these people with other people as they move through special moment after special moment. Trading out strangers for a quick and unlasting familiarity that will lead a person down their timeline of given memories.
