Dopamine detox group challenge? πŸ‘€
Yesterday during the Cohort 3 Q&A we had a fascinating discussion about dopamine, procrastination, sleep, focus, social media, Netflix binges, gaming, and why we sometimes struggle to do the things we actually want to do. Multiple members shared that when they reduce the constant stimulation for a few days, they: - Sleep better - Feel calmer - Focus easier - Stop procrastinating as much - Feel more connected to themselves So I'm considering organizing a 3-Day Dopamine Detox Challenge for the ADHD Harmony community. We'd check in together each day and share wins, struggles, insights, and what changes when the noise disappears. I'm curious... Who would actually join? Let me know in the comments. What would be the hardest thing for you to give up for 3 days? πŸ˜…

I'd join and my biggest challenge are streaming platforms, specifically documentaries. I just, can't, stop.
Books, books, books...
@Sergio Felix lit the chat up today with his statement about (paraphrasing) "so many books and videos, but no action." A lot of us really felt this one, and it got me wondering: are there any books that you have liked or found particularly comforting or helpful even if they didn't ultimately inspire the change you're seeking here? Ones that I have appreciated in particular are "The Upward Spiral" by Alex Korb and "The Courage to be Disliked" by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga.

Thanks for the shout out @Richard Kelly Stifora! One I really like is: "The Untethered Soul" by Michael Singer. It addresses a lot of the never-ending, thought rumination. Thanks for the recommendations, I'll check them out! πŸ™‚

πŸ† Pre-Challenge Giveaway
Your engagement literally helps people find us. Our activity in this community directly impacts how ADHD Harmony shows up in Skool's Discovery. That's the search engine people use to find communities like ours. The way it works is simple, the more we engage (likes, comments, posts), the higher we rank. The higher we rank, the more people searching for ADHD support actually find us. So when you drop a like on someone's post or leave a comment, you're not just supporting that person. You're helping someone out there who's still looking for their people actually find this place. Now, many of you already know I'm doing giveaways during the challenge. But I decided to add a little something before we kick off: the 10 people with the highest 7-day activity and the top 10 on the 7-day leaderboard before the challenge starts on April 27 will win community credits to use as discounts on our offerings: πŸ₯‡ Place 1-3: $150 community credit πŸ₯ˆ Place 4-6: $100 community credit πŸ₯‰ Place 7-10: $50 community credit One important thing: I've seen other communities try to game this by spamming random posts and comments just to farm points. That's not what we're about. The goal is always value and connection. Share something real, ask a genuine question, support someone's post because it resonated with you. Spam will be removed. View leaderboards: https://www.skool.com/adhd/-/leaderboards Here's how the leaderboard works: https://help.skool.com/article/31-how-do-points-and-levels-work Besides your leaderboard score, I'll also be looking at whether you're actively supporting others. So liking and commenting on other people's posts matters just as much. So go like stuff, comment on things, share your wins, and ask questions. It all counts, and it all helps. Let's make some noise before we even get started πŸ”₯

@Leonie Osborne I hear you loud and clear, I'm ALWAYS quieting down... decluttering, simplifying, unsubscribing, deleting, stopping projects left and right, taking care of my time, my energy and who I speak to, both online and offline... so yeah, things like this are always interesting to me, but you've got this! πŸ”₯ PS. didn't read the whole thing but now that I did, all the best with that jury duty and wow, that does sound energy draining for sure, my best wishes so you can find ways to rest and recover as much as possible! πŸ™
Just finished my ADHD Snapshot
Just finished all 3 sections of my ADHD Snapshot and one thing hit hard: I've been saying "I know I'm not lazy" for years while simultaneously hearing the opposite in my own head. Turns out that gap between what I know and what I feel might be running more of my life than I realized. Can't wait for the full report.

Congratulations @Lahra Latham I just finished mine yesterday and got a lot in return as well. Some stuff I already knew but there were a few things here and there I was not expecting so it was really useful tbh.
