while i’m not limited my coaching to just men; the biggest impact of my experiences are to remind men that we are the protectors and providers and must regain our place in the household and the world! especially young men if we can prevent them from making all the mistakes we’ve made before them! i think i’m going to adjust my niche to target that market with some additional coaching for life in general! #makemengreatagain!

out of curiosity, what do you mean by "must regain our place in the household and the world"?

@Steve Swift @Terry Howsham Thank you both for sharing this insight. By pure happenstance, or perhaps ordained by the universe, today I came across this interview with Courtney B. Vance and Dr. Robin Smith about a book they wrote called "The Invisible Ache." I ~think~ this relates to the points you're making. The interview is specifically about the hardship and trauma experienced by black men, and there are multiple excellent points made about the role of mental health, negative core beliefs, the influencing factors that create them (i.e., the 7 areas), and men needing to do the work that will let them "step onto the floor of their own life." That phrase -- "step onto the floor of their own life" -- made me think of what you shared. Thanks again for sharing!
Podcast or Video Recommendations
Hi Expert Coach Fam, I just finished the Pre-Transformation module, which was super interesting. I'm excited for this journey. Ed's teachings in Pre-Transformation reminded me interviews I've heard with Marissa Peer, particularly his points about identifying limiting beliefs, using language as part of retraining, reframing in the positive. Has anyone seen her videos or interviews? They really underscore Ed's points. What videos or podcasts would y'all recommend?

What I would have loved to know when I was NEW HERE🚀
I have been thinking about making this post lately, now that we are so many new people here in this loving, encouraging, supportive and uplifting community that Ed have created! First and foremost, welcome to you new people, hope you are ready to get some insights from the rest of the community, open to be inspired, get AHA-moments and eye openers!❤️ 1. Get to know the gamification - here in Skool you level up by contributing with posts, comments and likes, the culture here is really engaging and we like each others posts and comments - so that we can get the points to level up.📈 2. If you want to move quickly, then what I personally came to realize is to have an ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER for the course, someone that you either are inspired by, want to spend time with, or that you feel you can grow with.🚀💪 3. Practice, practice, practice - find someone or a few to practice with within the group - this is a HUGE advantage for you, to be the better coach when you get your first clients! Personally I WISH I HAD DONE THIS FROM START!💬 4. Take notes, write down the golden nuggets that you get along with the course and also take notes on the course. I started taking notes from comments, and I wish that I did it even more, when looking back.🗒️ 5. Believe in yourself, this have been a LIFE CHANGER for me, in my own apperance - and I know that this will be for some of you guys too!🙏 And remember, we are in the greatest community, we have supportive admins and awesome ''classmates''❤️

And tbh, will anything ever top "When someone shows you who they are, believe them" ???
What are you finding the most challenging in the course?
What are y'all finding the most challenging as you're working through the courses? I find there's a lot of great frameworks and models that build on each other, and my mind is still working through how and when to apply them in a way that is responsive to my clients, rather than rigidly working through steps. What are y'all experiencing as we go through this?

@Olympia O dea Absolutely makes sense! That's how I'm thinking about it, too. Once it's "in me" (so to speak), I'll know how/when to use it.

@Savciuc Elena Lia Actually, I'm changing my answer to this lol It does kind of feel like getting to level 4 is a bit much.
