There are few communities available for coaches and consultants That provides real value and most are just spam communities. . . Day in and day out my ads get bombarded with negative comments about coaching I get tired of people commenting negative things. how all coaches just want to make money etc Coaching is a scam etc Making money is not why I decided to become a coach. I did it!! And I feel so excited!! I’m actually amazed by it 😁 Just immerse yourself into this experience, put in the effort and you can do it too 💪 Next goal is to go through the whole course before this week ends and then start again from the beginning next Monday to really drill the frameworks and the tools in!!
@Cat Wilson no that’s not accurate. Check my post from today- I gave a breakdown of the curriculum that opens up at each level. I believe by level 4 the entire curriculum is opened up- beyond that you’re just accumulating points I guess 😬
Feel free to add your own everybody! I attended a third interview. I woke up I got up I dressed up! I rehearsed my interview. I did the interview. I didn't love it. But it didn't kill me! I was warm approachable confident. I didn't over promise (which is both a good and a bad thing) about all of the additional things I can do ontop of my normal role in the office. I went for 2 walks today. I checked in with my coach. I met a friend for connection. It was good! I saw a film for inspiration. I am organising my writers group. I texted about that. The BAD I didn't give the people in the interview what I think they wanted to hear - because I was concerned with what they wanted to hear. That's generally bad for interviews. I need to work. I need to be more grown up about the ''real world'' and stop being so authenticity driven all of the time. ''LEILA, SORT IT OUT''. It's ok not to be authentic all of the time you donut you! On the screen again and it's late Slept about 4 hours last night and the night before. QUALITIES I'm calling forth Fun Laughter Focus productivity The most amazing session ever with my client that will be for the highest purpose of both her and for me Confidence Optimism and hope Awe and wonder Communication and boundaries Dance with your friend Leila
I have been thinking about making this post lately, now that we are so many new people here in this loving, encouraging, supportive and uplifting community that Ed have created! First and foremost, welcome to you new people, hope you are ready to get some insights from the rest of the community, open to be inspired, get AHA-moments and eye openers!❤️ 1. Get to know the gamification - here in Skool you level up by contributing with posts, comments and likes, the culture here is really engaging and we like each others posts and comments - so that we can get the points to level up.📈 2. If you want to move quickly, then what I personally came to realize is to have an ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER for the course, someone that you either are inspired by, want to spend time with, or that you feel you can grow with.🚀💪 3. Practice, practice, practice - find someone or a few to practice with within the group - this is a HUGE advantage for you, to be the better coach when you get your first clients! Personally I WISH I HAD DONE THIS FROM START!💬 4. Take notes, write down the golden nuggets that you get along with the course and also take notes on the course. I started taking notes from comments, and I wish that I did it even more, when looking back.🗒️ 5. Believe in yourself, this have been a LIFE CHANGER for me, in my own apperance - and I know that this will be for some of you guys too!🙏 And remember, we are in the greatest community, we have supportive admins and awesome ''classmates''❤️
I felt like sharing this with you guys, I am definetly going to test this out! Today I was introduced to a affirmation method that is called Affirmation Rampage. Take out a pen and paper, write a affirmation in the top of the paper something that really deeply resonates with you! And then you RIFF on what you know to be true about that affirmation Do that with 2-3 affirmations daily, and watch what is going to happen!
I HAD A HUGE VICTORY TODAY! I was paticipating in a workshop for coaches here in Denmark, and it got recorded, and there was around 100-120 paticipating and besides that it's going to be send out to over 2000+ coaches! AND I SHARED MY KNOWLEGDE AS A ROOKIE, and people loved it, the hosts loved the knowlegde and the things I contributed with, SO MUCH that I have a meeting with them on Monday 10:30 my time, to eventually get to be a part of their team behind there success, and that gives me access to all the tools that they provide so that I can scale my business! I needed to share this, because I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF🔥
@Nick Grover well I could talk for days about this as this is what I teach but for now I will say - Actions trumps FEAR. Fear is only real in the mind - once you step up and do the thing you realize it wasn't all that scary, you didn't throw up and you didn't die 😉
I'm currently learning NLP. I learned a bit from Tony Robbins and it's always fascinated me. As I'm going through' Ed's scripts and read the Changing Association Script it occurred to me that it is exactly the same as what I was learning last night in NLP training. Ed is teaching us basic NLP which is so amazing!!! The more I allow Ed's program to percolate the more amazing it becomes. Who else here knows or is studying NLP and is also seeing in sprinkled through Ed's methods?
After some flapping around about pre session questions and questions we are actually meant to use in the session...Everything was a bit last minute.com and my person didn't have time to respond to the email I sent... All good, at least I have that email template created now! WOohOO. The sessions went really very well. My person was so open and dived in really deep. And she started the session feeling tired and anxious and described a sense of weight on her shoulders. She said that she wanted to experience more peace. And she ended the session with a sense of awe - her face looked so sparkly! ''I feel myself so calm, peaceful and light''. The questions, whether they are considered pre-session or not are so delicious aren't they? And I followed them as religiously as I could because I wanted to understand their power and impact. I have done a lot of different types of trainings and it would be easy for me to let myself follow that path. But I love the idea of repeatable results and I truly think a lot of the work comes from the richness of the questions and our presence and capacity to listen, however we can. I also decided to read back a lot of the responses she made to each question because each response was so clear and packed with nutrients. What I love about any kind of client work honestly is that moment where I just feel so honoured to peek into somebody's internal universe and discover something of how rich and complicated they are and how essentially brave human beings are. Do we even see ourselves I wonder? And if we did the love would be uncontainable. In any case, because I am also an embodiment teacher I do give more space to allowing FEELings to be present..because they are literally there in the room being felt but often not openly acknowledged and they are part of the juice of transformation. Whether it is sadness, joy, exhilaration etc it is an extension of LISTENING and not rushing through on auto pilot...which coincidentally I was worried I would do!
@Ed JC Smith - I've COMPLETED the Expert Coach Certification requirements and emailed to the .UK email address! Looking forward to seeing those deep dive sessions from your annual transformation retreat in Bali. Thanks to @Tracy James for ALL your help! Here are a couple of tips/thoughts/insights that have worked for me: - Make sure you're grounded as you go into your session - ideally you're grounding yourself 1st thing each morning - Drink room temperature water during the session - The best coaches are single-threaders, not multi-taskers ... why? Because our clients feel when we're distracted - Using the words 'say more about that' are a good way to go deeper in a conversation - Be quick to repeat and/or suggest based upon what was said - Be equally slow to draw conclusions without asking the client to confirm what you heard - Saying 'I might be wrong about this, and I've been wrong before' are good ways to introduce your summarization - Smile a lot - Have fun - you're being transformed as you are participating in the transformation process - We share ourselves when we work with others - Don't dread this certification paperwork - It's a natural extension of the coaching you're doing - Git 'er Done! It will be fun to read what this community adds to these first few tips! Who's next?
Not bragging guys, but I've unlocked the course in 3 days 😁 Honestly, I couldn't have done it without everyone's support, so thank you! I wanted to see how fast I could do it so that newbies don't feel disheartened and stop engaging with the community. Plus, I love a challenge 😁 Next step, get certified! I'll continue to share my insights and encourage other's along the way 🙏
@Carrie Branovan no worries Carrie- it happened to me as well and many others. - think if this as a reward based system. The more you interact in the community, the more points you get and in turn, that opens up additional trainings. Interactions are your own posts, commenting to other posts and liking posts. If you go under your profile, you will see the number of points required to open up each level. Hope that helps 👍and best wishes ❤️
**** Please note: The UK group moved some meetings to a WhatsApp platform. PM @Ben R or @Antony Abel to join. **** ➡️ ➡️ ➡️ Please review module 2 (Transformational Coaching, solid session structure, coaching module DBRC, With emphasis on the "BREAKING" pillar) and complete as much as you can from the tasks. Suggested meeting structure is to review, discuss, share, and understand the concepts of the module. Commit to complete the tasks by the next meeting of the week. Feedback, share and discuss any topic that is covered in this module, and adjourn. Second meeting structure is to follow up and account for the completed tasks. Good luck❗ 🙏
@Jessica Stolte Bender was thinking we could meet every other week just to stay in touch, see what everyone is up to and give one another feedback and personal support. Like a mini- mastermind. Anyone who is interested can DM me
Today I was climbing a part of this mountain and everything was fine. Though now I was completing my TOP COACHING FEARS task and I just realized my biggest fear is losing clients because of raising my price. Its amazing how fear works. Does It happen to you as well? Do you hace any suggestions to work on It? Im also curious, what is your biggest fear? Cheers guys and thanks in advance!
@Shernette Simpson 😁 It's a reward for staying with me. As they see the pricing go up, they appreciate getting the discounts. I went so far as to create a landing page called Existing VIP client Continuation Options - showing my regular rates and their extended discounts. This is for clients who have worked one-on-one with me and have come to the end of their original contract (which is typically pretty high). So I call I this a maintenance of sorts and offer them a great discount. IT ends up being a WIN-WIN for sure.
