UK artist majoring in the US
What's our thoughts on this? Will it ever happen like how Drake did it or are Americans just too used to their own accents and sounds

Being someone with a UK accent, the more people in the US are exposed to UK rappers the more they become palatable, take Central Cee for example, another thing I like to do is watch reaction channels on Youtube to get a general feel for what Americans think, and over time they have come to accept the UK sound more and more. Also there are a lot of people from the Caribbean both in the UK and the US so in terms of slang the barrier of crumbling faster and faster.

@Jean Paul yeah we've also got Afroswing in the UK which works with either a UK accent (not so much Ed sheeran's (respectfully), more-so the mandem) and afro accents, its a fusion of dancehall, afrobeats, hiphop etc...

@Jean Paul I'd agree with your first statement, also to reverse engineer the process, but focusing on quantity you're also working on your quality because the more you do the more you improve. Lil wayne and Kendrick have both said in interviews during their time in the trenches they used to literally write everyday, same for Jay-Z. This gets overlooked a lot by the mainstream population who generally think you're either born with it or not. A lot of the best artist you do it so effortlessly have put in mad hours, take Michael Jackson, he probably clocked the infamous 10k hours by the time he was in his mid to late teams.

@Jeff Craft agreed you can build quality from quantity because it provides you with experience.
Introduction
Hi everyone... im Blessing but I go by Willtion(pronounced Willshin) a 18 year old artist based in Capetown. I don't categorize myself in a genre because I'm busy developing my art right now trying out different types of samples and beats from my producer friends. My music is faith, love and inspiration based. I hope to learn alot here and make new friends in the industry as I move upwards. Can you guys let me know what you do, are you a rapper, singer, manager, publisher etc. Nice to meet you all!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHHoWYibrPY&t=6s&ab_channel=PaulBarronNetwork I was wondering what your thoughts are on this, do you think it's for the industry to try and grab money from Audius that would otherwise have slipped through the cracks?

I think it could be good for artists, if done right, and Spotify would need to be extremely transparent on who they're partnered with.
