Now that we're all here....
Let's get down to some serious business.... who here has actyally had a gooseberry?! I had them but not until I got tired of lying about Sauvignon Blanc. What else yall be lying about? This is a safe space.

I have had a gooseberry but same as you only because people kept talking about it for SB. I put in pavers in my yard and (not kidding) smelled them after the rain once to get the stone/minerality thing. But I have no idea what an orange blossom smells like lol. I will throw that into notes where I think it makes sense but total guess. Same with tomato leaf. Not even 100% sure what that is if we're being honest.

@Tahiirah Habibi Interesting. Whites make sense (wish I had Chenin but I don't, thinking an aged Chard from Sandhi) what Reds would you say?

I swear I'm not endorsed by them (though if Andre Mack is on here, let's talk!) but I do think from a value perspective it's one of the better ones. Their email list does a 50% sitewide on a regular basis which means you can get six bottles of wine for like $10-$15 a bottle and all punch well above that price point. Happy to give recs as well but a big fan!

Finishing a 2023 Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Kirkland brands before I move on to some other red, Rioja perhaps, in order to calm myself (can't find my passport) and enjoy my steak. How's that for one sentence? 🤣
