Football IQ Lesson – Positioning
Great players are not always the fastest or strongest. What makes them special is positioning. Positioning means being in the right place at the right time. Many players only focus on the ball. But smart players think about space. Before the ball arrives, ask yourself: • Where is the space? • Where is the defender? • Where should I move to help my teammate? Good positioning helps you: • Receive the ball with more time • Create passing options • Escape pressure • Control the rhythm of the game Watch players like Xavi, Busquets, and Modrić. They are always moving a few steps to create better angles. Sometimes one small movement can change the whole attack. Football IQ is not only about what you do with the ball. It is also about where you stand without the ball. Quiz – Answer Tomorrow Think about these questions: 1️⃣ Why is positioning important before receiving the ball? 2️⃣ What is the difference between positioning and off-ball movement? 3️⃣ When your teammate has the ball, where should you move to help him? 4️⃣ Which professional player do you think has the best positioning? Why? Tomorrow we will review the answers and discuss them together. Football IQ – Smart Players ⚽🧠

1.- because if you have good positioning you have more time and you can go through a open space with a ball 3.- you can open space for him to go there with ball 4.- Busquets because he is not running too much. He just jog sometimes because he know where he have to be
Awareness = Off-Ball Movement
Most players think awareness means “scan before you get the ball.” That’s only 50% of it. Real awareness is what you do when you DON’T have the ball. Smart players: - Move to create space - Check shoulders before runs - Adjust position based on teammate pressure - Create passing angles - Pull defenders out of position Off-ball movement shows your football IQ more than dribbling ever will. Today’s challenge 👇Next time you watch a match, don’t follow the ball. Follow ONE player without the ball for 5 minutes. Ask yourself: - Why did he move there? - What space is he attacking? - Who is he creating space for? - Is he reacting or anticipating? Comment below what you notice. Let’s train the brain 🧠⚽

⚽ Football IQ Quiz #1 – Decision Making
Imagine this situation: You are a central midfielder. You receive the ball and you quickly scan the field. You see:• A teammate making a run behind the defense• A defender coming to press you fast• Space open on the right side What is the best decision? A) Turn and try to dribble past the defender B) Pass immediately to the teammate running behind the defense C) Pass to the right side where there is space D) Hold the ball and wait for more options 👇 Comment your answer (A, B, C, or D) and explain why. Tomorrow I will post the correct answer and explanation.

C or B. C because you can open another space with pass to open space and create a chance and B because when you do the great pass through the that open space you can create the chance for striker and score and it’s faster simple chose than C BUT if opponent fast pressing you that pass to Run of your teammate can be stressed and not have got that quality so I think more C
🧠 Question for Smart Players
When you watch a high-level match, what are you actually watching? Most players follow the ball. Smart players follow space, pressure, and options. Next time you watch a game, try this: Pause before the pass Predict the decision Then watch what the pro actually does, and why 👉 What helps you understand pro decisions better: watching full matches, highlights, tactical clips, or pausing & predicting? Let’s break this down together. ⚽🧠
