Just a Quick Lesson
As a player, your hips can make the difference between a goal or a near miss, a beautiful pass or a stump, a lovely through ball toward goal or a pass cut off by a defender, etc. When your hips are closed, you have no idea how the opposition is marking you(excluding scanning), where your teammates are, what is the nearest pressure, etc. However, a tiny detail of keeping your hips open can make a huge difference. Keeping your hips open can help you see the whole field around you as you take in vital information. If you receive the ball, all you need is one touch to drive forward and if a defender is marking you, all you need to do is scan over your shoulder, see how he is positioned, and body feint the defender before you have space to pass, shoot, dribble, etc. So in summary, the small change of opening up your hips can make a huge difference on the game.

Great breakdown, Vishal — this is exactly what Football IQ is about.Opening your hips isn’t just technique… it’s awareness. When your hips are open, you can:• see pressure• see options• play forward in one touch• and avoid getting trapped Small detail, massive advantage.Good stuff, keep sharing your insights. 💪⚽🔥

LaLiga Match Breakdown — Big Moments From Both Sides ⚽🔥
What a game today — a real tactical battle between both teams. Barcelona had their moments, but credit to the opponent as well. Each side showed different strengths that made the match fun to analyze. 🔵🔴 Barcelona Highlights: Pedri controlled the rhythm beautifully. His calmness under pressure and ability to find space between lines helped Barca keep possession and create structured attacks. Raphinha brought the chaos Barcelona needed — direct runs, quick combinations, and constant pressure on the backline. ⚪ The Opponent’s Strengths: They defended with discipline and stayed dangerous on transitions. Their counter-attacks were sharp, especially when winning the ball high. The midfield worked hard to close down passing lanes, forcing Barca into wide areas many times. They also created a few dangerous moments by exploiting the space behind Barca’s fullbacks. Overall, it was a good mix of control vs. counter, patience vs. explosiveness. Both teams had phases where they dominated. What stood out to you guys the most from this match? Yup

@Vishal Balaji You’re spot on, brother — the midfield is the control center.A strong midfield doesn’t just “dominate”… it decides where the game is played. When your midfield is smart and connected:• they control tempo• they break pressure• they create overloads• they choose when the team goes fast or slow That’s why teams with strong midfield IQ look calm even under pressure — they dictate the rhythm, not the opponent. Great observation. Keep thinking the game like this. 💡⚽🔥

@Savannah Young Welcome Savannah — glad you’re here. Playing outside back and outside mid is a great mix because both roles require strong awareness, positioning, and decision-making under pressure. Confidence and smart decision-making come with understanding the game, not just running or reacting. We’ll work on that together, step by step. Looking forward to helping you grow your game.
