🌱 The ADHD Win — How to Use This Space
This space is for noticing things your brain might otherwise skip past. Use it when: - You did something hard - You followed through - You showed up when you didn’t feel like it - You handled something better than you used to - You felt genuinely happy, proud, or at peace Big or small counts. What to post - One sentence is enough - No need to make it impressive - No comparison to anyone else Examples: - “I asked for help instead of shutting down.” - “I didn’t spiral after making a mistake.” - “I finished something I usually avoid.” - “I rested without guilt.” How to interact here - Encouragement is welcome - Celebration is allowed - Advice is still optional A simple “That matters” goes a long way. Why this space exists ADHD brains are great at remembering what went wrong and terrible at remembering what went right. This is a place to store proof. You can come back and reread this on hard days.

Me (47) and my partner (45) played in a competitive pickleball tournament, didn’t win, but played pretty solid and gave it all I had.

🗑️ The ADHD Dump (Leave It Here)
This space exists to help you get things out of your head, not to fix them. Come here when: - Something is looping in your brain - You’re frustrated, overstimulated, or overwhelmed - ADHD made something harder than it “should” have been - You just need to put it somewhere that isn’t your head You don’t need to be calm. You don’t need to explain everything. You don’t need to stay. What to post - One sentence or a short paragraph - A feeling, a frustration, or a moment - Something you keep replaying - Something you don’t want to carry anymore Examples: - “I feel behind no matter how hard I try.” - “I’m exhausted from masking at work.” - “I missed something important again and I hate that feeling.” What not to do: - Don’t fix it - Don’t explain it away - Don’t turn it into a story unless you want to - Don’t stay here scrolling This is not a debate space. This is not a problem-solving space. Once you’ve posted: 1. Pause for one breath 2. Remind yourself: “I put it there.” 3. Leave the page You don’t need to check for replies. You don’t need validation. You’re allowed to move on. How to interact with others (optional) If you reply to someone else: - Lead with empathy, not advice - “I relate” > “You should” - If you want to give advice, ask first A simple “You’re not alone” is enough. One last reminder This space is here for release, not rumination. If reading this section starts to feel heavy: That’s your cue to step away. You can always come back later

On the way to a tournament, hit a rock in the road giving me a flat tire. Immediately I felt upset , not because I made a mistake , but because I’ve gotten in a few car incidents through the years and it just reinforces my partners belief that I’m clumsy and unreliable when it comes to driving, it makes me feel so defeated
Bare Minimum Check-In
What did you do today that still counts?

Went to In Laws Xmas Party
Something I’m learning (and still reminding myself)
This week was heavier than it probably looked from the outside. Driving into work three days in a row was harder than it “should” have been. When I work from home most of the time, leaving that safe space and breaking the rhythm takes more out of me than I expect. I also spent a lot of time creating pickleball content that I may never use. That familiar ADHD thing where the interest and energy are there… but the outcome doesn’t always line up. At the same time, ADHD helped me create this community. I’ve always been deeply interested in how ADHD affects us, how it shows up differently, and how we learn to live with it — not fight it. That curiosity is real, and it matters. ADHD also made it harder to focus on daily work tasks this week. Both things can be true at the same time. One thing I wish I’d heard sooner — and something my son had more access to than I did — is that there *are* different strategies, and it’s not a failure if one doesn’t work for you. When I was in school, that wasn’t talked about much. This week reminded me that it’s okay not to be the best at everything I’m interested in. We can give something our full effort, and if it doesn’t work out, learn to be okay with the outcome. Not as a judgment of our worth — just information. I’m still learning that.

This is how to use this space (there’s no wrong way)
There’s no “right” way to use this community. You can: • Lurk • Read quietly • Post once • Disappear and come back • Only use it on bad days Some people use this space daily. Some people only show up when things feel heavy. Both are valid. Use what helps. Ignore what doesn’t. You’re never behind here.
