@Tony Iverson I’ve ended up solving this in a slightly different way. I use the folder system quite heavily. I’ve got one for personal stuff, but that also includes brainstorming, ideas and things I’m exploring. I’ve built a lot of personalisation into it, so it basically knows me, my background, how I tend to work, the projects I’m involved in and the context around them. Then I’ve got folders for my current developments, with the active ones pinned. The bigger change though is that I created my own handoff system. It’s built in GPT Sites, with Convex as the database and Clerk for authentication, and it’s locked down to my own email address. At the end of a useful ChatGPT conversation, I literally just type: handoff. That calls my personal handoff Skill, which produces a VCF file, basically a structured continuity file containing the project context, what was decided, what was completed, where I stopped, blockers, links and the exact next action. That then gets added into my site database, matched to the correct project folder automatically. If it’s a new project, it creates a new project/folder and stores everything there for me. So instead of relying on the chat itself as the place where the project lives, ChatGPT is where I think, brainstorm and work things through, while my own system holds the continuity. The nice bit is that it keeps me on track even when I’m out and about just using my mobile. I can have a useful conversation, type one word, handoff, and I know I can pick the project back up later without having to remember which chat it was in or what I was doing.
