New beard, boots, errands, and ranchwork
Started the morning off by shaving off the thinly grown hair on my cheeks to embrace a new look: the circle beard. Wife wasn't overly pleased, but I was tired of waiting for it to fill in and wanted a more groomed look. (Even this redneck cowboy has standards.) Went to town for some hardware to hang a rolling barn door in my stove room, and to buy new work boots. About two weeks ago, a salebarn mixed up the group of cattle I was supposed to load and I spent an hour and a half feeling a bit sorry for myself while I waited for them to sort the herd. In my frustration, I kicked the sticky ground, which promptly sucked half the heel off my Tony Lamas. I kept on wearing 'em intermittently after that, but my back can't take the height difference anymore, so new ones it is. I may just have them re-heeled, both heels were shot and the soles are also pretty worn. The 7-layer cushioning and support in the laced boots had me sold from first try-on. However, since my Tony Lamas doubled as my casual pair, I was still out a casual pair. Bought another pair, and put em both on the business card as uniform expenditures. Freaking ouch. I have a feeling I'll be eating weinerwurst with Brian McGuire this Thanksgiving, especially after I get the bill for my truck repairs. I then spent the afternoon helping my good friend who is a rancher put in new fence on the yard. My welding is a bit rusty, but it mostly came back when I dropped the hood. I had an adorable little sidekick for the project too, a little red heeler haplessly named Spot by her very creative owners. I had the opportunity to adopt her when she was a puppy, and I really wanted to, but since I live in town it just wasn't ideal. The weather was beautiful and it was just an all-around great day. Back to the real grind tomorrow, 12-15 hour days in a truck cab. Awesome. I don’t have much of a ranching background being from upstate NY, but I love seeing different trends and styles from different walks of life on this forum. Thanks for sharing.
Shades of Blue
Cool enough for the 3-piece suit for my meeting this morning. Scent is Perry Ellis 18

Glad to see the 3 piece is still alive and kicking.
Introduce Yourself (ALL Intros HERE Please!)
OK, so by introducing yourself you are guaranteed to get to level 2 - it's really that easy and I LOVE learning more about the cool people in this group. Feel free to share where you're from, why you're here, what you do for a living, and what you like about style. Are you a watch guy, suit guy, fragrance guy, or maybe just getting started? Have fun here!

I have a similar pair of CHs and they are quite comfortable. I wear them in the right settings for me which includes more casual weekend or business casual with the right look. Good for some but not for all.
What Brand of Jeans?
Preference? Levi’s, Lee’s, Wrangler’s? Something else? Also, raw, washed, faded? Feel free to give other feedback.

I also agree with Levis. I prefer the dark 511s. Everlane darks fit well, too.
