Introducing myself
My name is Anthony Smart I’m from a small town in Arkansas. I’m just starting a business and looking for some advice on how to get it off the ground. I’ve got a 2025 Mahindra 4550 that I mostly bought for my work here on my farm. I do have a brush cutter, Box blade, and a tiller that I’ve been using for some extra cash flow. But like I said I’m just starting out and looking for ideas on how to get this off the ground and turn it into a full time business.

Welcome to the group!
Phone calls question
Since I still have a main job, how do you guys handle answering the phones if you work a job where you can’t answer right away? My wife will be the one answering when I’m not able to. No problem there but… Do you guys have a separate phone or can you switch who the call is forwarded too? (Easily) Just curious what you guys do / what’s possible.

I'm sure there are multiple platforms out there that can help you here, but for now, I'm also using Google voice and I don't use a separate phone, it will ring to me first and if I can't answer it (I'm in the same boat as you with still working another job) then it will then ring to my wife before going to voicemail. I'm not pushing this platform, just saying that it's one of many options available out there.
Shopping
So I am shopping around right now not making the purchase but I do have cat, bobcat and kubota in my area what are the pros and cons with the machine brands who has had experience with them and what machine is recommended in hot humid area one that is easy to “modify” if needed to.

The age old question of which brand is better. This is no different than asking about Chevrolet, Ford and Dodge. They all have pros and cons and they will all get the job done in their own way. I'd go based off of who you can get the best warranty with, ease of dealership maintenance and who will have a rental/ loaner machine available when your down(in writing, not verbal).
Got out my comfort zone
So today got out my comfort zone and listened to Austin’s video and bided on sight for $8600 to clear out 25ft by 1000ft of dense brush customer seemed very impressed and said he will be calling us at the end of the week!!

Awesome! That's really good news!
Intro
My name is Jay I'm from central Kentucky. I currently own and operate a lawn care and landscaping business. We're currently doing ~$4800 per month revenue on the side of my full time weekend job. I would like to ditch the lower ticket services and get into forestry mulching and/or stump grinding. Possibly even stair case from stumps into forestry mulching since I've always been interested in this industry. The only thing that's stopping me is I'm currently in chapter 13 bankruptcy which I have 2 years left of that. However my lawn care business is starting to do well cashflow wise my W2 pays a bit over $4000 per month. I have plenty of cashflow to be able to get into what I actually want to do, it's just the matter of getting the leads and clients. Also whether I should rent starting out. I also just bought Ty's stump grinding playbook and have reached out to 120 or so tree services to get started.
