New Video for the community page
Hey everyone, I accidently went down a rabbit hole and spent a chunk of the day recording a new video for the about page for our community. Excited to show you all first. Thanks for being here.

love it, Kevin this is a great summary of the use cases for your community!
First Principal of AI - You are responsible for AI outcomes
You are responsible for AI outcomes Last month I was in a board room full of executives And someone shocked me when they just straight up said "I asked ChatGPT what to do, and just followed that" And I realized I had a new fear unlocked. Humans lose their ability to critically think when they rely on AI to replace their judgement. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗜 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 AI doesn't make decisions. Humans do. We all make decisions based on information and our experiences. AI can help you get the information faster but you shouldn't rely on it for judgment. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. And if you're using AI right now...you know it is a people pleaser. I've been calling it a 'say yes machine' for a long time. Because it always does what you ask and tries to give you the answer you're looking for. So depending on how you ask the question Will completely change the answer and recommendation. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀: Business leaders can't blame the algorithm for bias or harm. Engineers must bake transparency into systems from day one. Policymakers need real regulations, not lip service to innovation. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲? We govern machines. Machines don't govern us. Every tool in human history has been wielded by someone. That someone is accountable. No exceptions. No hiding. You are responsible: -------------------- What's a practical example of this... Do not ask ChatGPT if you should work on your marriage or leave your spouse.

Kevin, well said and I totally agree. I use perplexity and chat to help me formulate marketing, courses, or research topics, but also check behind them and add my human judgement to the results offered. Just this weekend I found a conflicting response between perplexity and a new ai that just uses the Internal Revenue Code to source it's responses. The answers were diametrically opposed because the IRC and IRS publications have conflicting information on this topic. I chose the one that used the IRC and also gave me the reasoning that a particular code section overrides an IRS publication. You can't subordinate your judgement to a machine.
Love Hate Relationship with Excel? This AI Assistant helps
Ever work with Excel and realize that you are sweating with rage? Every time I present to nonprofit folks about AI, I ask who has a 'love-hate relationship with Excel" —and nearly every hand goes up. Because Excel is one of those tools we have to use… but it doesn’t always feel like it’s working with us. You try to solve a problem, get stuck on a formula, start rage-Googling, and suddenly you’re 17 threads deep in an Excel forum from 2009. I’ve been there too. That’s why I built an AI assistant for nonprofit teams that use Excel. It helps you write formulas, debug issues, answer your questions, and get your spreadsheet done faster—with way less pain. You describe the problem in plain English. It figures out the Excel part. You get back to your real work. It’s like having someone on your team who speaks fluent Excel… and never rolls their eyes when you ask a question. If you use Excel and you’ve ever felt like throwing your laptop out the window—this is for you. Here's the link to try it yourself: Excel Expert AI Assistant

cool, I'll be trying this one out...
Transition to the "After AI Times"
If you have ever heard me give a training or keynote then you've probably heard me open with why AI is such a big deal in our society. Right now, we are living through the transition to the "after AI times". And AI is unique from all other human inventions, here's why We've all lived through other "before and after times" Before the internet Before cell phones Before GPS (And maybe, fax machines, though no need to date yourself) Each of those innovations changed how we move, how we connect, how we work. But AI is different. And now we are living through the "Before and After transition of AI" But I think this technology will have an even bigger impact on our society...for one specific reason AI uses language And we use language to build our society. Language is how we make sense of the world. It’s how we pass down values, express love, explain our ideas, build relationships, and shape culture. Language used to be exclusive to humans, but not any more. AI is the first tool we’ve built that can 𝘶𝘴𝘦 language to communicate 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 us… And we are influenced by language (that's why marketing exists) And that changes everything. This is the shift I want every audience to understand. Because if we don’t grasp this, we’ll underestimate what’s coming. And we need to be intentional about where we say yes this technology And where we set boundaries AI won't be used for our own betterment without be intentional. This isn’t just a tech shift. It’s a cultural shift. And what we do now will define the “after AI” world we end up living in.
