I made a short film and honestly it broke me a little while making it.
The story: a dog from the UK travels to India. Not for a holiday he's heard things, and he's curious. What is life actually like for dogs there? He meets one street dog who becomes his guide. And that dog just... shows him. Everything. No filter, no explanation, no asking for pity. Just this is my street, this is my day, this is what we do. And then the UK dog goes home. That's where the film ends. Not with a rescue, not with a happy ending just with him carrying something back that he can't put down. I didn't want to make a sad film. I wanted to make an honest one. There are millions of dogs on Indian streets who are surviving, not suffering on cue and they've got their own life, their own routine, their own dignity. That's the bit I tried to hold onto. Would really love your eyes on it. Especially: does the ending land, or does it need one more beat?
