This is how hard your sets should be.
Most guys train like wimps, that's the honest truth. And I don't wanna sound "holier than thou", because I can admit that I myself used to train like a wimp for a long time too. Their excuse for doing so is that they just do higher volume, but my research and experience tells me that training with high volume but low intensity makes you leave gains on the table. That's why I've been trying high intensity training (HIT) recently. Below is a video of one of the sets from my workout today. I'm confident that most people (and old me) would have stopped the set at around 10-12 reps, but what you don't realize is that even when it starts to hurt, you probably still have 5 more reps in you. You just need to fight thru the pain. If you really want to build a sick physique, you should start training with intensity like this. It's gonna be hard and each set hits like a truck, but it's worth it.

1st Week Impression of HIT Training
I started High Intensity Training (HIT) earlier this week; so far, I'm a 3 workouts in, which obviously isn't a lot, but that's why this is just a first impressions. Pros: - Efficiency - I can be in and out of the Gym in just ~40 minutes - Better muscle coverage - Since my workouts are now so much shorter, I can actually find the time to do more niche muscles like forearms and abs (and maybe legs too šŸ™ˆ); before, I would get lazy and often skip/neglect them because the workouts were just so long - I don't hold back anymore - Before, when doing 2 sets for each muscle group, sometimes I would subconsciously hold back on the first set because I knew I had another one to do afterwards; now, i don't feel the need to do that because one set is all I'm doing, it's all or nothing Cons: - More difficult - There's no doubt in my mind that even though it takes less time, training this way is a lot harder physically and mentally. The pain you have to fight through, and the way each set hits you like a truck, it's definitely not easy, nor for the weak. But that really isn't a valid con, it's not truly a con. Overall, I'm liking HIT; it's time efficient, I'm working out more parts of my body as a result, and I'm sure it will gain me more muscle.
Morning walks
For the past couple of Sundays, I’ve been going out for a walk at 6:30 a.m. for about an hour, and they definitely make me happier. At first, I was just doing it to move more on Sundays since I don’t work and usually spend the day on the computer, but it turned out to be a great decision. I really recommend it. But one thing — just you and your mind, no music, no phone.

Natural light in ones eyes first thing in the morning is super underrated for promoting health and wellness. I'm not surprised that it makes you feel a lot better.

Welcome bro!
Lat asymmetry
I can't connect with my right lats, my triceps or lower chest takes over, but the same does not happen with my left lats. Especially if the movement is unilateral

I would say don't worry too much about "connecting" with the muscle. As long as your form is good, the muscle will be worked upon. I don't see how triceps and lower chest can take over on any back exercise other than a pullover; do you want to share a video? I think I could give some form pointers on things you might be doing wrong.
