🏆 Weekly Challenge #32: Fuel Log 📋
Ooooh my goodness, I NEVER realized this didn't go live!! So see this as "this weekend's challenge"!! This week's challenge: create a fuel log for the monthly challenge. You can find the rules there. ✅ Rules 1️⃣ Use the monthly challenge run for this one. 2️⃣ Follow the rules there. Log your fueling across the full run: - Pre-run: what you ate and drank, and when - During: what you took with you and when you used it (or "nothing" if nothing!) - Post-run: what you ate or drank to recover 3️⃣ Post in this thread: - A copy of your fuel log as posted in the monthly challenge or a screenshot of your log there 4️⃣ Everyone who participates will be entered into the weekly spot prize draw. One winner will be chosen at random. 🎁 Prize: $10 The Feed Gift Card or something similar for your country You train hard. Fuel like it. 👉 Drop your fuel log below 💙

Sarah - fuel log from today Before - nothing During - nothing After - banana and chocolate protein drink. And lots of water. Was an easy 6mi before breakfast. Didn’t feel like I needed anything before to make it through the run. Maybe not the best way to do it but it worked today.

Flex: followed the coach's schedule for this week, even though it was only for 25mi for the week. Feel like I could do more, but trying to rest my legs so I can run the Brooklyn half next weekend on fresh legs. Fail: didn't get up early any morning to do the strength training I need to do - the bed just seemed so much more inviting to me!
🏆 Monthly Challenge #8: Fuel Your Run 🍽️
Your challenge this month: pay attention to what you eat before, (during) and after your runs, and share an update once a week for 4 weeks. This is NOT about eating perfectly. It's about being curious and intentional about how nutrition affects your running. ✅ Rules ⬇️ 1️⃣ After at least one run per week, post an update using this format: [Your Name – Fuel Log #1], [Your Name – Fuel Log #2], and so on until you hit 4 comments total. 2️⃣ Each update should include what you ate before, during (if anything), and after your run, and how you felt. Be honest and reflect! 3️⃣ Everyone who posts all 4 updates will be entered into the monthly spot prize draw. 🎁 Prize: NeverSecond Fuel Package! TBD on what exactly 🤕 Injured, sick, or dealing with a niggle? Substitute your run with a walk and still log your fuel! 👉 Drop your first log below once you're ready!

Sarah - fuel log 2 Weekly run club night - usually I have been having a pb and j sandwich before the run, but tonight I was so hungry when I got home from work I had a full meal of tortilla, Mexican beef, guacamole, pico de gallo, and potato salad. And a piece of cake. And a cookie. About 2 hours before the run. Nothing during the run Nothing after the run. Was expecting some serious stomach issues, but somehow managed 4mi without having to stop and walk, or 💩 stop, or even go at a plodding speed. I wasn’t totally comfortable with it all, but I’ve had worse runs on less food!
