📆Prepare for the Week
I’m looking at the week ahead, and there are already plenty of things competing for space. I’m guessing I’m not the only one. 😂 So instead of making a long list of everything I want to do well this week, I’m choosing 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁. Something that doesn’t automatically get pushed aside when the schedule gets busy. Maybe it’s my workout time. Maybe it’s getting enough sleep. Maybe it’s eating an actual lunch instead of working straight through it. Maybe it’s a few quiet minutes before the day starts. There will always be things we can’t control about the week ahead. But we can decide ahead of time that some things are worth making room for. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸?

I want to protect my quiet time with the Lord.

@Stephanie Antkowiak I have found success in planning it into the rhythm of my day. I typically read my devotional in the morning to get my mind set on scripture. After lunch, I sit down and spend more time in the Word while my kids have reading/quiet play time/nap.
✅Thursday Check-In
Walking is one of those things that can be so ordinary that we forget it actually counts as exercise. But that’s also one of its biggest advantages. It doesn’t require a gym, a complicated plan, or even a big chunk of time. It can simply become part of everyday life. So I’m curious: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗶𝗻?

I multi task. I take the kids out with me so they ride bikes, walk/run, or play ball while I walk and play with them.

𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟬-𝗠𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 Sometime today, find ten minutes and go for a walk. No step goal. No pace to hit. No need to change clothes or turn it into a workout. Just ten minutes of intentional movement. If you feel like walking longer, great. If ten minutes is all you have, that counts too. The goal today is simply to remind yourself that movement doesn’t have to be complicated to be worthwhile. 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘀: 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻! 👇

I’ve been consistent with my physical activity this week.

TRY THIS: Decide Before You Have to Decide Pick one choice you know you’ll face tomorrow and make the decision today. Maybe it’s what you’ll eat for breakfast, when you’ll fit in some movement, what time you’ll go to bed, or whether you’ll take a real break during the day. Then, when the moment comes, you don’t have to negotiate with yourself. You already decided. It’s a simple way to practice discipline without relying on how motivated, busy, tired, or distracted you happen to feel in the moment. ➡️Try it: What’s one decision you can make ahead of time for tomorrow?

Our pastor talked about this on Sunday! It’s been a long week. Tomorrow, I’ll rest intentionally.
