Intentions
Do you have specific intentions when you sit down and create something new? Large or small ones? I was thinking about writing, why some of us write journals, novels, memoirs, travel books, all have a focus and a goal. Sometimes it's personal, sometimes it's to reach an audience who might learn or simply enjoy the book. Why do you write? Why do you make stuff? and why do you then share it? All good questions to ponder on those days when it doesn't come easy.

There's a Process to Coaching Creativity?
Why, yes, there is! The path to leading a creative life that I offer is based on three concepts: Explore. Create. Share. "Explore" focuses on questions to help you understand your own habits, what blocks you, what excites you. It's journalling to uncover the stuff lost in our daily lives that connects us with that playful kid side, the one who tries new things, who'll doodle or write or strum without a worry about perfection or productivity. I also share concepts, research, quotes etc that make us think a little more about what we do and why, the intentions, the motivations. Think too of goals and directions to keep us on the right track, to know where we are going and why. Create: These are the prompts, activities and hacks. Such as I'll post a video about how to make lists to refer to later, challenge you to make a playlist to accompany your project, a word game to shift your attention and get you creating outside of your work in progress. You'll be asked to act on your ideas, make, practice, play, research, put paint to paper, songs to strums...a daily habit, or a weekly one, it's your life and your choice but checking out the prompts and tips, and trying something new, that's the practice and the play. State your goals and the steps you'll take each week with a friend. Share: And now you consider how your week went. What did you aim to try or do? How did it go? What threw you off course? What magical conversation did you have? Inspiring each other is done through sharing our processes and attempts as well as the wins and wobbles. Take a moment to interact and help another along the way. You never know how your words or actions can make a huge difference. Be there for each other. Share a photo or description of what you are working on each week. That is inspiring and encouraging for everyone. Any questions!? I'm here to get you excited to show up for yourself, play, create, share what you do and learn because creativity in all its forms is good for our mental health, brain health, longevity, and connection through self-expression. So why not try it? Pick something you'd like to learn and go for it...I did, I just tried oil pastels for the first time last week and it's so different from acrylics! I'm doing more this weekend. What about you?

@Samia Bibi that’s how i see it too, plus we can make every day a little more playful and creative, from the meals we cook to dancing in the back garden!
Simple Assignment for you!
For you or your clients: One of my 'tools'. To get you aware of what is your priority each day. I've shared it before probably but with new members here, I thought it's a good beginning point for the weekend and moving forward. I've been doing this simple practice for a few years now and I've found it to be a way of setting my intention for the day, takes the pressure off too. Fill in the rest of each sentence, every morning that is, write out these lines and finish them to suit you and that specific day. It works for the mundane stuff of life as well as for the creative projects we each have. - I'm looking forward to - I'm grateful for - I'm committed to That's it. Straightforward. Try it for a week and come back next Saturday and say how it helped or not...I use it for my creative cohort to help them understand their habits and time use, and how to find time to play. Yet, it's a tool that works for all of us though. Try it for a week.

🚫💻 24 Hours Offline: Bliss or Torture?
It’s that time for me… 2️⃣4️⃣ 🚫 💻 💃🤣 Once a week, I take a 20-24 hour digital detox — no online work (I do plan + brainstorm on paper), no social media, no Skool. And I LOVE it. 💚 Sometimes I think we don’t realise how much mental space our screens are taking up until we step away from them. So before I disappear until tomorrow, I’m curious… 📊 POLL: How do YOU feel about deliberately taking time offline? And share with us in the comments: what’s your favourite thing to do when you’re OFFLINE? 💚 Mine involves some combination of walking, reading, food prep, Loki-boy 😻… and very happily ignoring my laptop.😆

🏝️ Do you run coaching retreats?
Has anyone hosted coaching days or retreats? If you have, do you use coaching resources as part of them? Things like: ✨ Workbooks ✨ Journals or reflection prompts ✨ Worksheets and exercises ✨ Welcome packs ✨ Pre-retreat resources ✨ Take-home resources for afterwards And where do your resources usually come from? Do you create them yourself, use ready-made resources, or have someone create them for you? I'm interested to learn what you use 👇

I have three retreats for writing/yoga/art in Baja California and I use the coaching ideas in our conversations as we co-create or over coffee. So more of a subtle reframing in conversations, I also offer a downloadable coaching for creatives questionnaire for them to ponder.
