@Rachael S I realized (a bit too late) how even just putting $75/month away in a stock fund when I was younger would have bought me a Lamborghini now. Not that I would buy one 😂

@Rachael S Good question! At this point in life it would probably be a home in between both parents to make this stage of life easier.
Tiny Steps Thursday
Remember a couple of months ago when we talked about planting a Wish Farm? How are your wishes growing?? Feel free to share your progress!

My little wish is to finish the book “The Lion Women of Tehran” that I have been taking too long to read. My medium wish is to keep my proven routine to help my health. My big wish is to clarify some issues surrounding caring for our aging parents. I am working on all three plus working with a friend on our respective tree journals. 💪

I think it is more what you do with it. Buffett could have spent money in the ridiculous obnoxious let-them-eat-cake way like Bezos and Thiel but instead he was comfortable with whatever his middle class number was, set his wife up for when he dies and gives the rest away. I don’t know what my number looks like for me but I know it is more than I have right now 😂 I want enough that I can not worry about running out in old age. I want enough that I can afford good timely medical care. I want enough to travel in a comfortable but not obnoxious predatory way. And I want enough to be able to donate freely to good causes. So yeah, $112 ain’t gonna cut it.
Why We Spend Wednesday
What has to be in place for you to move from a "I'll consider it" to a "absolutely yes!" mindset? Is it good customer service? Free shipping? A sizable discount? A generous return policy? Recommendations from others? Something else?? What makes spending your hard earned money a no-brainer?

@Rachael S Couldn’t agree more.

Impulse spending doesn't always have to mean "yes" or "no." Sometimes it can become a game! The next time you're about to buy something that isn't a necessity, shuffle a deck of cards and draw one. Your card becomes your challenge. ♥ Heart – Joy Treat yourself... but make it meaningful. Buy something that creates a memory, supports a hobby you genuinely love, or helps someone else. Skip purchases that are only there to fill five minutes of boredom. ♦ Diamond – Financial Before you buy anything, strengthen your overall finances first. Move $5 into savings, make an extra debt payment, or review your budget. Sometimes you'll still buy the item afterward—and that's okay. ♣ Club – Courage Pause and ask yourself: What feeling am I trying to avoid or create by buying this? If you're stressed, lonely, or bored, see if there's another way to meet that need first. ♠ Spade – Progress Do one task you've been avoiding before you spend. Fold the laundry. Send the email. Finish that lesson. Then decide if you still want the purchase. Sometimes a pause gives us a more clear perspective on what we really want!

This looks way more fun then what I just did—delete the entire cart and go back later and order if any of the items become a “dang I really need to get…” in the future. 😂
