What are your thoughts on other types of mouthgards like eptamed and myobrace. If for example I have direct access to one of these is it worth it or are they not as good and a waste of time ? Maybe a good idea to start with? ( I'm also wondering about the thickness for example between the upper and lower teeth on these mouthgards, does that matter? Is the thickness the same as revi 1 and 2?) Thanks
If they are flat mouthguards, they should work. Keep in mind that they are often more expensive than Reviv. Also one advantage of Reviv is, because of the philosophy and knowledge of biomechanics, the mouthguards are designed to be worn various hours during the day and during sleep. Because of this the R3 for example, doesn't touch the gums at all (better comfort), provides a better saliva flow system, it's thicker (meaning a bigger stretch, so faster progress), etc. https://get-remodel.com/products/r3-mouthguard-by-santi Apart from that, any flat splint follows the it starts with the mouth principle and improves biomechanics :)
Grazie mille.
@Lucas Rossi Indexed means that it locks a specific bite. You want the mouthguard to be flat, meaning the jaws are free to move. By adding dental height (a "separation" between the mandible and the maxilla) plus unlocking the bite, it releases and stretches the soft tissue of the skull, which then "inflates" like a balloon and pulls on structures like bone, bringing them to their genetically determined placement. Because of this any flat mouthguard regardless of the size will help you
👉🏻 course here. This is one of the advanced techniques I frequently do as part of the Fast Method. In the description, I share how it works, and in the video, I show how to do it. I'll be sharing more information and guides in the classroom and on my YouTube channel, so be sure to check those out :)
Hi guys , I need help. I’ve been using reviv for almost 6 months without any problems but something happened at the start of this year. I wasn’t able to use reviv for a week almost at the start of the year and an unbearable pain in my tmj appeared. What can I do?? Should I stop using reviv or I should stick to it and hope it helps with it?
Stick with it. Most likely you were used to the TMJ pain before, and now that you haven't experienced it for a while with Reviv, it feels "stronger". Eventually you'll completely get over it. But for now, you should keep wearing the device.
Must you Mew to maintain thumbpulling progress, I an looking to get into thumbpulling but I find it hard to Mew since my palate is not big enough to fit my whole tongue and it gives me tension in the muscles near the hyoid and around the tmj's, is thumbpulling a process where new bone is created between the sutures and the palate truly expands, or is it only a temporary widening?
You can keep your progress by wearing a flat mouthguard, during the process of stretching your tongue and widening your palate. It's the same biomechanics of Reviv, thumbpulling or mewing, just that the former is easier for everyone to do. More info: https://get-remodel.com/pages/santiago
