@Catina Ross Way to go! It’s smart to have multiple income streams even with a profession. šŸ‘
Oldie Here!
I’m a retired nurse who has been around a bit and love to see groups like this get together to support one another. I spent 10 years in Emergency, a few years on med-surg., a year in the O.R. , supervisor for a year then community and ended with Mental Health. After that I taught the LPN program at the local college. I’m from Newfoundland, šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦ Canada! It’s a rewarding career no doubt but definitely one with its challenges. I left nursing after nearly 30 years to start an online business in my 50’s! It was exciting and challenging and provided a way to create another income as well as allow me to have the freedom to enjoy my family and our son who was growing up way too fast. I felt there was more I had to do. I hope I can give to this community in some way. Allows stay true to your values and work ethics and have your job work around your life, not the other way round. šŸ’•

That's awesome @Davis Addison! What you do is so important and can make the difference between getting that job offer or not and is a skill not everyone has. I use to be a nurse as well and retired into the online business world. I wish I had been introduced to it earlier in life where it would have allowed me to have more time freedom and income then completely relying on my career. I loved my career but burnout, working fulltime, missing time with loved ones and feeling like I wasn't making the difference I wanted to make for my patients, was definitely some of the reasons why I left. Not being heard was probably the worst. As FRONTLINE workers who see best what is most effective in the delivery of patient care, having our opinions heard and actually implemented would improve burnout in allowing us to make changes that will actually make a difference to the overall well-being of the patient. It's just logic but not appreciated unfortunately. Great Skool community @Michael Taningco with a great purpose!
How AI Could Make Your Nursing Workday Easier—Let’s Brainstorm Together!ā€
Hi everyone! šŸ‘‹ I’m a Customer Service Specialist and Phlebotomist who absolutely loves what I do. Lately, I’ve been diving into the world of AI and exploring how it can enhance the way we work in healthcare, everything from improving patient communication to streamlining workflows. One thing I’ve noticed in my career is that small changes and tools can make a huge difference. For example, just thinking about how AI could help with scheduling, reminders, or lab workflows is exciting;it could save time, reduce stress, and improve patient experience. I’m curious_ if you could use AI to make one part of your workday easier, what would it be? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Let’s brainstorm together and see how we can bring more innovation to our roles without losing the human touch that makes healthcare so special. Comment ā€œsparkā€ if you’ve ever thought about using AI in your role and want to explore practical ideas!

I feel that is definitely the way of the future for healthcare @Victoria Erinle and the present in many ways! In our business model we use AI in content creation and are able to make running an online business more effective and less work with automation allowing the business to run in the background 24/7. It provides passive income and you’re able to do your income earning activities in just 2-Hours a day. It’s a great way to provide additional income.

Hi I’m Sandy a retired nurse after 28 years! It’s so nice to see this profession coming together for the good of one another. What I’m about is sharing a way to prevent burn out from having your life work around your career rather than have your career work around your life. I loved nursing but not having to trade most of my time for it that I missed a lot of special moments. I finally found a way to have both, by not having to depend entirely on your career to support yourself or your Family and have a CHOICE . Having a means of additional income gives you the ability to choice your schedule, your area of passion and ability to work as much and as little as you desire. And sharing that with other professionals who give so much of themselves is my passion. I have seen too many colleagues success. I love to travel, dancing, RVing, singing and helping others. I love learning about my purpose, my God, learning more about healthy organic eating, gardening, walking and nature. I joined this community to help other professionals grow, to maintain their worth and well-being and create a life they have always dreamed of.
