Kip help please
Hi I’m looking for basic progressions for teaching the kip movement. I believe it is quite similar to a headspring but the squat landing position is new for me. I used to be a gymnastics coach so I am not familiar with “teaching” a squat landing! Thanks in advance!

I usually start by working pike over to push candlestick. Then do the candlestick part into bridge. Once the cans do pike to bridge I just get them to push more and spot to hands off squat. Not sure if that makes sense?

@Angie Gavin sorry for delay. I do it in flat mat to bridge and then depending on strength of kid will do folded mat or straight mat for the final step

I work hard to have kids believe in themselves. My strength is with the anxious quiet kids. Nothing makes me happier than when a kid who said “ I can’t do that, yet” suddenly yells “I did it!”
