High percentage of failures
I recently rewatched an old movie called Seconds. Uncomfortable, but also very interesting. I won't give away the plot here, in case you ever want to go see it yourself. I'll just share a quote I wrote down, because it was relevant to what we all do: "You know son, when I began this business, I was a young man with an idea. I wasn't aiming to make a lot of money. Helping others, help them to find a little happiness. Oh heck, not just the rich. You see, I got tremendous comfort in the thought that in my small way I was waging a battle against human misery. And I was, too! Except we do have a high percentage of failures. I guess that's to be expected, but it hurts me." If you are in the information selling business... I reckon you got into it at least in part to wage a battle against human misery, in your own small way. I also reckon that you have a high percentage of failures. Regardless of how good your information is. Regardless of how accessible you try to make it. Regardless of how hard you try to motivate people. People just don't get the results that you know are possible, or any results at all. Does this hurt you? Do you just shrug it off and say, "That's to be expected"? I'm curious about your experiences, what you think about this, and what if anything you do about it. Let me know. And if you like I can share what my experiences are and what I think and do.

I think the same thing happens with "done with you" offers and in some ways it's even more painful. You're much closer to the implementation. You can see that the result is achievable. You know the strategy works. Yet sometimes there's still something in the other person that creates resistance (fear, procrastination, lack of conviction, other priorities...) The only way to completely eliminate the risk of failure is to take the wheel and do it yourself. But then you've moved from teaching or guiding transformation to delivering the outcome directly... I suppose this can be mitigated with stricter qualification and with the mindset Chris Dyson mentioned above: "How do I get more buyers to become case studies?"

@John Bejakovic I was refering to “done with you”, when your role is guidance and giving personalied advice

Last week, I promoted a bonus bundle to get people to buy 5 copies of my new 10 Commandments book. Yesterday, because I was busy and had nothing else to promote, I promoted that bonus bundle on its own for $97. I made 5 sales of that, a $485 windfall, for something that took me zero extra work. Do you have any personal case studies of repurposing or reusing your existing assets? It's something I constantly worry I'm not doing enough of. I'd love to hear what you've done and what's worked for you, and maybe get inspired to try the same.

@Maliha M Totally true. I do this systematically. I create skill sessions for recurring consulting clients and then sell them separately to the rest of my audience. After that, I try to upsell those one-time buyers. It worked well with my small audience until I exhausted it. I guess it’s time to grow a bit. :)
What's a fair price to charge for 4 weekly newsletter emails?
I'm curious to hear what you think, or what you might charge yourself. Give me your thoughts, and then I'll tell you what I think and have recently done.

@John Bejakovic This is interesting because we usually say, “sell the outcome, not the deliverable.” In this case, you’re selling the deliverable, and the client has accepted a fairly substantial price. What do you think is the psychology behind this sale?
