👋 Welcome to the group, you legends
Thanks for jumping in here early – you’re basically the founding members of this community. This space is for all of you who already follow my work and want a place to go a bit deeper together. Please say hi in the comments and share: - Who are you and what dog/dogs you have? - What are you mainly working on right now? - What’s the first thing you’d like to learn here – one topic or problem you want me to cover as soon as possible? Many thanks, Alex

@Nick Benger Ooo, I didn’t realise there were plans for a TBRR instructor course - exciting!
I need your help! (2 minutes)
I’m finishing Play with Purpose – Second Edition, which builds on the original challenge and goes deeper based on real implementation and the questions that came up from you. Because you’re inside this community, you’ll get free access to the Second Edition when it’s released. Here’s where I need your help. If you’ve already been through Play with Purpose and it changed how you use play, motivation, or structure in training, I’d appreciate a short, honest review. Nothing polished. Just: - where you were before - what shifted - what you do differently now You can leave it here: https://g.page/r/CeTWEis3qMEnEAE/review or in the comments or by email. If you’re also waiting for Heelwork Hackers, community members will get priority access and a loyalty discount when it opens! Thanks to everyone who’s been in this early group — your feedback directly shapes what I build next. — Alex

Play with Purpose has been incredibly helpful in building play skills for both myself and Kairo! Before starting the challenge, Kairo’s toy drive was 50/50 and I hadn’t even considered food games or social play as rewards. After a win, she would try to parade the toy or lay down to chew on it. Now, her tugging is stronger and she often brings the toy back after a win. When she received a new toy for Christmas, she brought it straight over to initiate play! Food games have been a game changer for engagement, and this is our most used reward. I’ve been using these games to build her food drive, and improve our luring skills. Social play is her favourite, and used a lot at home, but I haven’t worked out how to integrate this into real-world training yet. Thank you Alex, and looking forward to part 2!
Time to Re-Activate this group!

Is there anything you would like me to include in 2nd edition? let me know in the comment or message! But it is also time to activate this group! let me know what kind of content you would like to see before I will post all new courses. oh almost forgot to mention Heelwork Hackers is also in works and is coming next!

2 ways to stop pulling on lead instantly
There are 2 ways to instantly stop your dog from pulling on the leash… Method 1️⃣: Carry your dog. No pulling. No problem.100% chance your neighbours will wonder if you’re okay 😂 Method 2️⃣: Teach real heelwork.Takes a bit more work, but you get:🐕 A dog focused on you, not every pigeon in the city🐕 Walks that feel lighter than leg day at the gym🐕 More cooperation, less frustration🐕 Better communication and relationship.

Preferably method 2 - carrying Kairo would just bring her even higher up, i.e. closer to the birds lol

Hi everyone, Looking forward to continuing our training with this group! I’m Sam and I have 2 dogs, Amigo and Kairo, who both train and/or compete in various sports. Amigo (German Pinscher) is 11 years old, and currently does Competitive Obedience, Hoopers, Tricks and Parkour. Unusually, he has no specific goals at the moment so we’re just keeping up with our existing training. Kairo (Hungarian Vizsla) is 18 months old, and currently does Competitive Obedience, Hoopers, Tricks, Parkour, Mantrailing and Pet Gundog. Our overall goal is to build her drive and focus, particularly through play. Building on that, our specific goals are heelwork and retrieve.

@Alex Lato That would be amazing! Kairo has already made progress with retrieve since the Play with Purpose Challenge, so would love to keep building on that with a new course
