Here is something most American Amazon advice gets completely wrong...
They tell you to find high volume products and go deep. Works in the US with 330 million people. Backfires in Canada. On Amazon Canada we have about 1/10th the population. That means a BSR of 50,000 in Canada might only move 5-8 units a month. And here is the thing... that is actually fine. Because it also means WAY less competition. I am regularly finding products with 2-3 FBA sellers total where I can grab 25-30% of the buy box just by being in stock consistently. American sellers avoid Canada because the volume looks "too small." Good. Let them. Smaller pond, less fishermen. That is not a weakness, that is the whole strategy. Wide catalogue over going deep. 20-40 solid ASINs with consistent restock beats chasing one home run product every single time. That is the Canadian OA playbook, right?
