Just passed the 1000 listings mark!! (1015 to be exact 😜) Just over 6 months since I listed my first poster. Looking forward to seeing if the theory of 1000 listings being the point at which you get pushed a lot more by Etsy is true, especially considering how slow the month has been 🙄 I have done screenshots of the journey so far, as I know it may help some of the new guys see it visually to see it actually does work. You need to put the time in, get those images created and posted and the sales will come. I don't think I am doing too bad..... though I have no expectations and am certainly not at the point where I believe this is anything more than just a side hobby at the moment. Hello everyone, I'm very new to this so bare with me and excuse what is probably a simple question. I'm using Chatgpt to make some simple vector style artwork to upscale into posters and I'm concerned about the quality when upscaling in to sizes above A4, especially A1. Now I understand that any size at 300dpi is good enough for printing I'm just a bit of novice with how this works. So, I'm taking an image chatgpt generates at 1024 x 1536 px. I then open a file on Krita (poor mans photoshop) at the dimension I want, so lets say A1, I then paste in the image created by chatgpt and its obviously tiny on the A1 canvas so I use the scale option on Krita to scale it to what every I need to fill the space. Then I export this file as my A1 version of the design. I'm just concerned that although it doesn't look distorted on my screen that when its printed it will be blurry and lose its quality as I'm not confident that the scaling is adding the relevant pixels density needed. I would love a way of knowing the my product image is at the correct quality or the larger size so I can confidently sell my art on Etsy. I'm pretty much flat broke at the moment as I would order a print in the largest size I want to offer to see the quality myself but sadly that's not quite an option at the moment. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'm looking forward to getting started and using Printshrimps services and being part this community :D

Just a little encouragement for anyone still building their store and wondering if all the work is worth it… Last night I was packing for a long-haul flight when an order came through for one of my regular prints. The artwork was already with Print Shrimp, so I imported the order, paid through my wallet and carried on packing. Order 1. A couple of hours’ sleep later, driving to the airport when another order came in. This time it was a brand-new design that I hadn’t uploaded the artwork to PS yet. Order 2. I checked in my bags, found a quiet corner at the airport, resized the artwork on my phone, uploaded it to Print Shrimp and got the order sorted before boarding my flight. When I landed after the first leg, I discovered I’d sold a digital download while I was in the air. Even better, nothing to do! Order 3. Then another customer bought three prints. Two were already uploaded, but the 3rd was a new design so found a quiet corner in the lounge -and resized the missing artwork on my phone, uploaded it and got the order into production before catching my next flight.Order 4,5 and 6 ! And that’s when it really struck me. 6 Orders and my little business travelled with me. No stockroom, no packing boxes and no trips to the post office. Just my phone, my artwork and Print Shrimp taking care of the printing, packing and shipping. There is a HUGE amount of work involved in building your store and getting everything set up, and there have definitely been moments when I’ve wondered what on earth I’m doing! But this is the payoff. While I was packing, driving, sleeping and flying across the world, my shop just kept going. So for anyone still knee-deep in creating, resizing, uploading and wondering whether all those hours are worth it - just keep going. You’re not just building a shop. You’re building yourself a little bit of freedom. ❤️

How do custom orders work? I’ve messaged Printshrimp but doubt I’ll get an answer before Monday. My question is, I have a potential customer asking for a print 24x30, which isn’t a standard size. Will the print be printed edge to edge with no white boarders? Anyone have the answer for me please? I’d like to message her back before Monday, if I can. Thank you, you lovely bunch. 😘
