Who has the craziest chicken names?
I've seen some very cool names and thought it would be good see what we have here. Here's a couple we have had over the years... - Large Marge (our brahma) - Lil Peep - Cluck Norris - Blackie Chan - Lewis and Clark (2 of them that always explored far away)

Coop issue check-in
What’s the biggest challenge in your coop right now? - cold - predators - egg slowdowns - bullying - boredom - something else Drop yours in comments and help someone else — let’s troubleshoot together.

I js moved the 2 month old chicks with the 1 month old chicks rn and i think the issue will be bullying cuz the 2 month olds are like the size of 2-3 1 month old chicks Imma check the stuff tomorrow and if theres bullying i will seperate them
Tender advice
What’s the #1 mistake you made early on that you’d save others from? No judgment — just wisdom. I’ll go first. We jumped in head first with 20 chicks of all different breeds. It was fun but we ended up with about half of them roosters. I’d recommend finding what purpose you have for them and then sticking with a couple breeds designed for that. Don’t just go with all the fun breeds you can find. Also, have a second coop ready and available for if you have to quarantine early. 😅

@Debbi Jesse well am afraid the rodents eat the chicks, cuz that happened to me many times before The rats there are the size of a cat and they even injured a 3 months old hen before so i dont think chicks will be a problem for them As for the feed its guarded by ducks

Weekend roll call!
Post a pic of your chickens (or just your fave) If you don’t have a pic handy, describe your flock in 3 words. I'll go first: Aging, Loud, Entitled. 🙃
