Cold Calling is BRUTAL
I’ve been cold calling for about 2 months for my agency. It has been hard, especially with no guidance, my business partner and I both agree that sometimes it feels like we’re moving in the wrong direction with it, and instead of becoming better, we actually get worse. We’re not giving up this business, we’re going all in. But cold calling has just been brutal. I’m also worried if our voice in the call has a negative impact, we sell an ai receptionist rebranded as a ‘virtual front office’ but we’re both 17 so I’m worried they also don’t see us as serious because of our voices. Does anyone have any tips on how to get started, or how to find a good mentor?

@Travis Brown We're running a sale like this for our HVAC clients: If you buy the AI receptionist (already on a discount from 500 -> $299), and either buy the Reviews Tool, or the Maintenance Booking Tool, you get the other one for free (both alre4ady on a sale of $200 -> $99), meaning that they are getting $900 value for $398. We have had trouble setting appointments, so we haven't even had the best testing for the offer. Also, aren't you supposed to leave the offer for the closing call? Sell the meeting not the product on the cold call?
Struggles in B2B as a newer founder.
Working in B2B for me this whole time, there has felt like there is so many unknowns. I often feel like I’m just drifting, rather than moving forward in a strict direction. I feel like I hear so many takes on things that when you put together, are completely counter intuitive. So for the successful b2b business owners, what was the journey like? Were you ever in my shoes? What kind of material did you consume to learn the ways of your section of the market, and how to navigate it?

@Khalid Alanazi That's really refreshing to read, especially when we're surrounded by all these shiny new methods for doing things like you're saying. Just focus on the bare basics first, the most basic things required to move the business forward.
On the topic of affiliates
Does anyone have any affiliate marketing set up? My cofounder and I are looking to get some affiliates to help cold call. We’re thinking 25% recurring commission on their sales, bonuses on their conversion, volume, etc. and possibly some sort of pay for the volume of calls as well. If you have affiliates, I would love to hear what you’ve learned, and I think many others would benefit from your insights. Drop a comment!
Looking to connect
I think it would be a great idea to build a little network of just a few ai automations agency owners so we could help all of each-other grow and share advice. The only requirement is that we specialize in different niches. My names Ryler, I’m currently specializing in HVAC and I’m looking to expand to other parts of the home service industry eventually. What niche are you in and how far along are you?

@Ethan Peterson yo Ethan, My names Ryler. I’m 17 from santa barbara and I’m a junior in high-school. Just started my agency as well, and I’ve been having some good luck with cold calling. What niche are you getting into? I’m hyper focused on hvac right now but planning on expanding into other parts of the home service industry
