Week 2 progress report!! I am phenomenally behind. But weirdly enough, I'm not too worried about it. I did really well at making time where there wasn't time this week, and several of the scenes I "edited" to check those little gold boxes on my tracker were ones I had to write completely from scratch. Another few yet-to-exist scenes to go, then all the floppy tentacles of my first draft are neatly tied together, and things should flow really quickly through the climax! I'm getting excited about it. Also I was SO helped by Erin Stewart's Q&A tonight, so it's difficult to be discouraged by my slow progress, since I'm riding on a high of inspiration :) Onward and upward, to my MC having his "Reborn" moment!

Current word count. 5,142. This challenge has been so good for me. I am working on a project that is different than what I spent a week planning before the month began. I knew I wasn't going to write on Sundays, but I did not expect today. Work and life have just been so much that I am absolutely exhausted. I don't say that lightly as someone who runs marathons, works out multiple times a week, and regularly works 75+ hour workweeks. I have been posting daily updates on my Instagram @ericleroyanderson if you want to see my full swing of emotions this week. I am going to go get at least 250 words in tonight, then I am going to bed early. I'm excited to see where everyone else is at!

I have 2100 words as of today. I have some catching up to do, but I'm feeling good I will be caught up by tomorrow. Time for some celebratory fireworks!
