Hey everybody I wanted to share that I recently have been faced with liver disease/injury from medication, and I'm looking at 3-6 months of recovery. It's a story in of itself, but the message is clear - we are what's most important in our journey. Don't put your music, art, or creative drive above your health and self-preservation. I'm hitting pause for a wee minute, but I had been going full throttle all the while practically ignoring warning signs my body was giving. Hopefully my story and message can serve as a reminder to take care of ourselves. Unfortunately I don't think my "Crazy" remix will be getting submitted, but I'll share it when I get back to it. One thing I really want to share with this group is a book I just recently got and have been reading that has been a major gamechanger for me. It's called "The 4D Songwriter-How to Dominate the New Music Industry" by Jayson John Evans. He's also got a free e-book titled "8 Music Marketing Myths" which was the first thing that helped me get out from underneath the heavy downward feeling that much of my effort in marketing has been going nowhere and losing me money. Hey everyone, As some of you know, I started Impossible Records in 2015. We had an incredible 3–4 year run, with dozens of #1 and Top 10/100 releases; even ranking among Dubstep’s Top 10 Record Labels in 2015/16. Eventually, it became too much for me to manage alongside everything else, so I slowed things down to focus on my own KJ Sawka releases, sample packs, and Pendulum. Since then, I’ve continued to get dozens of submissions every week (sometimes daily), along with many of you asking about releasing on Impossible Records. After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to reopen submissions exclusively to mentorship artists. Most releases will be part of compilations, unless you’ve got a massive hit that’s ready for a full promotional push. I believe we need more clear milestones inside the mentorship, and this is one of the many ways we can expand the trampoline so you can jump higher in this wild music industry. My goal is simple: to see you win, and I believe this will be a powerful step in that direction. I found this talk from KRS-One titled, "Art is worth money, Your content is valuable, Charity to wealth." So I sampled his voice and slapped this beat together so I could get this message out.
