Dear All, my name is Mark, and I am a total Newbie here in the group (but not so much at doing ads). So I am looking forward to networking and learning with all. Who knows :) what we'll find out together, and I always love learning new things and getting better at our Art as a result. Thanks for letting me in -- glad to be here!

Google Ads will automatically pause low-activity keywords
For those of you who didn't see this email from Google: You are receiving this message because one or more of your Google Ads accounts may be impacted by an upcoming change to how we handle low-activity keywords. What’s changing? Starting in June 2024, we will begin to automatically pause low-activity keywords. Positive keywords in search ads campaigns are considered low-activity if they were created over 13 months ago and have zero impressions over the past 13 months. Why are we making this change? We want to help advertisers simplify their accounts and focus on keywords that drive results. Next steps If you decide that a paused keyword is necessary for your campaign, you can unpause it. However, we strongly recommend that you only unpause keywords that you believe will receive impressions in the coming weeks. Unpaused keywords will be automatically paused again if they don’t receive any impressions over the next 3 months. My thoughts: This seems pretty benign and is probably ACTUALLY about cutting back on their costs and server space. There are a lot of messy accounts out there and I only see this as helpful. No cause for concern unless they start moving up the timeline on those "low performers" and offering to improve accounts by controlling keywords in different ways.

@Mark Mage It is wildly frustrating, yes. I just started ignoring optiscore and recommendations completely, though I don't have a partner status to worry about.

Welcome, @RJ Masters ! Be sure to check out the coaching call recordings in the Classroom and search for any topics you have questions about, as the calls were all transcribed and the content is searchable. If you have specific questions we haven't tackled, drop another post and I'll help however I can!
Google tag for a funnel
I wanted to know how I can track conversations on a funnel which has multiple upswells of different pages, do I need to ad separate pixels on each page ?

You can use the same Google Tag Manager (GTM) container, but separate conversions for each sale and upsell. When creating the trigger for upsells, include the purchase event (if one fires) or page view URL, then add the extra trigger condition of the Referrer being the previous step of the funnel. The Conversion Tracking training in the classroom of this group should help if you're not familiar with GTM. If it doesn't help, let me know and I'll make a more specific loom video on how to set this scenario up.
When you want to say something, but don't want to make a whole post...
Drop a comment in this post. We can just keep up a general discussion about anything without making it all "official".

@Amadeus Ciok Without the exact keywords, ads, tracking setup, and LP, it's hard to say. If that LP is the one you're using, I would say the focus above the fold is wrong. It's focused on the solution (math tutor), rather than the problem (parent has child failing in math and can't teach it themselves), or the desired outcomes (child understands math and is confident, encouraged, and motivated to do more math and overcome other challenges). 7.5% CTR is also a bit low, so you may want to test similar language in the ads while adding more negative keywords (as shown in the Google Ads quick start program, in the classroom of this group). That's kind of vague advice, but important. With the LP you shared, f you moved the part with the form to the top, it would probably be a noticeable change in conversion rate.

@Amadeus Ciok It needs to speak to the same problem or desired outcome as the ad. It doesn't have to be identical. Limiting it to the 30 character headline is conversion suicide.
