I am an educator for massage therapists. I would love to check in on what my colleagues could/should be able to recognize (although we emphatically don't diagnose) in terms of skin conditions, and if you have ideas about communication styles that will not be alarmist, but that will encourage clients to see a medical opinion. Also-- ideas on how to build a network of physicians/dermatologists to whom to refer clients? ALSO: I am trying to weed out antiquated language about how some diseases affect different tones of skin (e.g., "redness" is often incorrect, but "discolored" seems too vague). I would love to hear how you would like educators to address these language patterns?
